Original 67 Chevy pick up. Longbed 1/2 ton. This is a no option truck. Radio delete, lighter delete. Wood bed in great original condition. It had a camper shell on for many years. I bought the truck from the original owners family. 250 6 cyl. engine runs good, has a small puff of smoke at start up. Pretty normal for the inline sixes. 3 speed manual transmission shifts well, hasn't hung up yet. Shifts on the column. Everything works, lights, heater etc. Note: gas guage is not working, still looking into that. I have only changed the oil and cap and rotor since I got it. I also added the low mile tires. The hub caps DO NOT go with the truck, sorry. I have been driving the truck around town local and have taken to Phoenix once (200 miles round trip) with no problems. There is a problem with the air cleaner mount on the carb, it is broken off. Manual brakes, work well for manual brakes, manual steering, fairly tight for its age, doesn't seem to wonder. The dash was cut some for an 8 track player but fortunately the original radio delete plate still fits and covers the hole. It has just under 92,000 miles, which I believe to original mile but the title shows box B miles. This truck is almost 100% rust free. There are a couple rust holes in the floor, presumably from the rubber floor mat and several other floor mats that were in the truck. All mats have been removed, original mat crumbled apart. Rocker, cab supports, cab corners all solid. Radiator support under the battery is solid. This was painted white several years ago, paint is getting this in areas. Original color was a pretty blue/green. Body is mostly straight, it does have a few dents. It looks like there is some filler in the right rear fender, most likely a repair made when it was repainted. Glass is good with the exception of the windshield, it will need to be replaced. Window rubber and felt is shot, as is the seat upholstery. It has a cover over it, I don't know what it looks like underneath. Clear AZ title in my name. Buyer responsible for pick up or shipment. I am available to help load if need be. Feel free to ask questions. I am willing to get additional pictures, just ask.

Next Chevy Silverado could get this built-in tailgate step
Thu, Feb 2 2017General Motors just received patent approval for a tailgate step in a pickup bed. And given the timing, don't be surprised if you see this on the upcoming 2019 Silverado pickup (not the mention its GMC Sierra twin), expected to arrive in late 2018. According to the patent, granted in December of last year, the whole mechanism is housed in the tailgate assemble. The magic happens when a portion of the top half of the tailgate swings down and a step folds out. There's also a handle that locks into position to help climb up into the bed. As trucks get bigger and taller over the years, it gets harder and harder to access the cargo bed. Ford's solution with the 2009 F-150 was a step that slides out from the end of the tailgate. Back then, Chevy made an ill-advised ad highlighting the feature for Ford. And while Howie Long mocked the F-150's "man step" Ford saw almost a third of its trucks with the option in the first year. The GM design seems to improve on Ford's idea as it appears to be wider and has a back to the lower step. That is, you don't have to worry about stepping through the ladder-rung design as on the F-150. Ford's tailgate step later spread to the F Super Duty, and other cargo access assists have proliferated through the truck world. On the most recent redesign, the Chevrolet Silverado took a trick from the Avalanche and added cutouts to the corners of the rear bumper that act as a foothold. Ford also offers a deployable side step, Chevrolet has running boards that scoot rearward with a kick of the boot, and Ram offers fixed wheel-to-wheel side rails. Nissan is in on the game too, with an optional folding step that tucks under the rear bumper. We don't expect Chevrolet to comment on when or if we'll see this feature in the showrooms. But given that engineers are already hard at work on the next Silverado and the timing of this patent lines right up with the new truck's development cycle, we'll be disappointed if this patent stays in the file cabinet. 2016 Chevy Equinox brings its revised face to Chicago
Thu, Feb 12 2015It's vital these days for automakers to keep up with the Jones' when in the crossover market. The segment is just too popular among buyers to let a vehicle waste away, and Chevrolet is giving the 2016 Equinox a slight refresh at the Chicago Auto Show to hopefully keep people interested. In reality, though, the CUV isn't too much different beyond a tweaked face and some interior improvements. The exterior now boasts a revised front fascia with a chrome-accented grille and projector beam headlights, and at the rear there are new taillights. Top -evel models get LED running lights, as well. Inside, the Equinox features a standard seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a backup cam, and for added safety, the CUV is now available with rear cross traffic and blade zone alert on some trims. Beyond these updates, the powertrains carry over entirely from before with the choice between a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a 3.6-liter V6. These refreshed 2016 models go on sale this fall. Seeing the Detroit Auto Show via drone
Sun, Jan 18 2015Seeing the Chevrolet display at the Detroit Auto Show is worth doing this year, and not just because of the new Corvette Z06, Volt and Bolt concept. In order to attract the new kids, The Bowtie has gone what the old kids used to call "buck wild" with their show stand at Cobo Hall. A Corvette Z06, Trax, and Colorado are parked along a central aisle, called Mainstreet, at the end of which is a 20-foot-tall, 73-foot long transparent screen lording over the new Volt. Elsewhere are five more 20-foot-tall screens broadcasting nine stories today's Chevrolet wants to tell about its vehicles, from performance to belief in the power of play to its 4G LTE-equipped OnStar telematics service. Then there are the social media and virtual reality safety installations, the community presentations and more. Chevrolet flew a drone through the stand to show off what it's doing, which is has replaced eye-level video as the next best thing to being there. You can check it out in the video above.
