1966 Chevrolet C10 Short Wheel Base Pickup Inline 6 Cylinder 3 Speed No Reserve! on 2040-cars

Year:1966 Mileage:100
Location:

United States

United States

This is a 1966 Chevrolet C10 pickup that will be sold to the highest bidder. This is a no reserve auction. The title is free and clear.  It is a six cylinder, 3 speed on the column, short wheel base, stepside, and wooden bed truck. The engine runs great, the clutch is good, and the transmission shifts properly. This truck does not smoke at all.  The truck had been sitting for about 1.5 years due to a pinched rear brake line. I replaced it and the master cylinder today 9/11/2014. I replaced the master cylinder because of the contaminated fluid inside and bled the entire brake system until clean fluid came out. The brakes are working  good again. The lights still come on and the interior light does as well. The original key has been misplaced. However, I can start the vehicle and it can be driven onto a trailer. I would recommend a thorough check of fluids, tires, rubber hoses, fuses, light bulbs, etc. before trying to take a long trip. This truck was being driven daily prior to the pinching of the brake line.  The dash  and radio section has not been cut. The body requires replacement panels at the front floor pans, rocker panels, lower doors, lower fenders, and cab corners. Please see the photos of the hood. It will need some attention as well. The tailgate is in pretty good shape. The roof and the drip rails are in great shape. The bed needs a new wood kit.  All of the glass is with the truck. Drivers window glass gets off of the track. The firewall is in good shape. The frame is in great shape. The frame mounts on the body are in good shape. Please see the photos and ask about any of your concerns. Please ask if you have any concerns at all. Please ask any and all questions that you have prior to bidding. You don't have to guess or wonder about anything. I will give honest and prompt answers to all of your questions to help you make a good decision about whether or not you should bid on this 1966 Chevrolet C10. I could only upload 24 photos. Please let me know if you need more. Please only bid if you are capable of finishing the transaction. I'm located in Duluth, GA 30096. I suggest bringing your trailer or dolly to get the truck home. I will help you load and secure it. If you do decide to ship the C10 with a transporter, that will not be a problem. I will assist your transporter with loading, securing, and promptly send you photos of the loaded vehicle as the transporter leaves me. Please bid to win. I'll do my part to take care of you. Thanks for your consideration.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.

800k car names trademarked globally, suddenly alphanumerics seem reasonable

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

What's in a name? This cliched phrase probably gets tossed out at every marketing meeting that happens when a new car gets its nomenclature. We know the answer, though: everything. The name of a car has all the potential to make or break it with fickle customers that are more conscious than ever about what their purchases say about them.
That's giving headaches to marketing folks across the automotive industry. "It's tough. In 1985 there were about 75,000 names trademarked in the automotive space. Today there are 800,000," Chevrolet's head of marketing, Russ Clark, told Automotive News. Infiniti's president, Johan de Nysschen, echoed Clark's sentiment, saying, "The truth of the matter is, across the world, there is hardly a name or a letter that hasn't already been claimed by one car manufacturer or another. You can go through the alphabet - A, B, C and so forth - and you will quickly see that almost all available letters are taken."
What has that left automakers to do? Get creative. In the case of Infiniti, it made the controversial move to bring all of its cars' names into a new scheme, classifying them as Q#0 for cars and QX#0 for SUVs and crossovers. So the Infiniti G, which was available as the G25 and G37, is now the Q50. The FX37 and FX50 are now the QX70.

Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
