Up for bid today is a very easy project. This is a 1965 chevy stepside 2wd pickup truck. This truck runs and drives well, with a little more bodywork and paint, it could make a very nice piece. All of the rust was cut out of the cab and replaced with new metal. The floor pans have been molded and painted both underneath and inside. The original frame has been boxed and molded as well, and shot with a metallic silver base/clear. The truck rests on a set of 20” KMC wheels with good rubber. The wheels were powder coated silver at one time, and look good for a driver. Powered by a carbureted 307 small block chevy engine, coupled to a 3 speed manual transmission, the truck will run and drive good. It sounds nice with dual exhaust and glasspacks. The cab of the truck has already had all major repair done and was shot in a rootbeerish brown metallic color. The body has since gotten a few small dings and scratches. The bed is in red oxide primer, still needing some bodywork. The fiberglass bed cover was modified to fit the truck and looks awesome on it, although it could still use some bodywork as well. Hard wood and polished stainless look nice being used as the bed floor, along with harley Davidson brake lights out back. The inside of the cab is two-toned the rootbeerish color and silver metallic. A pair of bucket seats fit nicely, but could use covers to match. The truck does have a cd player in it with one speaker wired up for a little sound. Loads of new rubber keep the truck tight and dry. It does need an alignment and the tires balanced. A lot of time, hard work, and money has already been spent on this very nice driver. Loss of interest, bills, and other projects have lead to the point of selling this wonderful truck. It has a clear title ready to transfer. This truck is being sold as-is with no warranties or guarantees due to being used and the age. Please feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding. Any potential buyers are encouraged to come see the truck in person as well as test drive. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the ending of the auction, with the balance to be paid in full in cash upon pickup. I cannot/will not ship, that is the buyer’s responsibility. Thanks for looking!
THIS TRUCK IS FOR SALE LOCALLY ALSO, SO I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION AT ANY TIME!
the title says exceeds mechanical limits, so I assume the mileage isn't correct

Chevy Bolt-based prototype may be a Buick EV for China
Thu, Jan 9 2020Late last spring, we got a look at a GM prototype that was clearly based on the Chevy Bolt EV, but with updated styling. It seemed like it could be a more crossover-styled Bolt, given the recently trademarked name of EUV. Now we get another look at the prototype, but the bodywork seems less suggestive of a Chevy, and more of a Buick. This vehicle definitely still appears to be based on the Bolt, rather than on another small GM platform. In the photos of it next to the current model, the size, wheelbase and profile are extremely similar. There are differences, though. The nose isn't as sloped or as rounded, and the rear window kicks up a little earlier. The biggest changes are in the front and rear fascias, and it's here that we see hints of Buick. There are prominent air inlets on each side of the front bumper that give the car a more aggressive look. The headlights still have a fairly rounded, organic look, but with little extensions like fangs underneath. The styled running-light section, rounded shape and the smoked lenses seem very Buick-like. The grille features a large badge that doesn't fit the shape of a bow-tie, and is more that of a round logo like Buick's. Around at the back, the full-width taillights stand out, and in the middle there is obviously a round badge, again like a Buick. The wide taillights would also be a natural evolution of Buick's current light design language that uses somewhat wide and thin lights. The rear bumper has been redesigned with new lower taillights. Now that we've established that this seems very much like a Buick, we don't think we'll see this particular version offered here with the badge. This is more likely a Buick version of the Bolt for the Chinese market, where the brand is associated with luxury and has been the spearhead for GM's electric and hybrid models. In fact, the Chevy Volt hybrid was sold there as the Buick Velite 5, which was part of a family of a electrified Velite models. This would probably also carry a Velite badge as well. While we might not see this specific Buick variant, we probably will see it offered as a Chevy in some form. With its more aggressive, crossover shape, it could be the rumored EUV model. Or it could be just a refresh of the current Bolt, since the model has been largely unchanged since its introduction for the 2017 model year. And extrapolating from this prototype, we can see how the headlights could be tweaked to tie into those air scoops as on the Suburban and Silverado.
Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]
Mon, 27 May 2013If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
GM natural gas-powered vans recalled due to possible leak
Wed, Sep 24 2014General Motors is recalling almost 3,200 of its compressed-natural-gas powered utility vans because of possible leaks. GM and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released a notice last week saying that 3,196 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana CNG vans are on recall, though no accidents have been reported due to the possible issue. The recall is specifically for vans for model years ranging from 2011 to 2014. The recall stems from a potential leak from the compressed natural gas high-pressure regulator, and such a leak could cause a fire or explosion. GM will replace the vehicles' high-pressure regulator in order to fix the problem, will do it free of charge and is instructing owners to contact Chevrolet or GMC customer service to arrange for the parts replacement. Utility vehicle makers like General Motors have pushed for fleet sales of CNG-powered vans and trucks for the past few years and have touted them for their cheaper refueling costs relative to standard gasoline, not to mention the fact that natural gas can be readily sourced from throughout North America (thanks, fracking). According to CNGPrices.com, compressed natural gas sells for about $2.22 a gallon, on average, while the AAA is pegging the average price of gas at $3.34 a gallon. NHTSA has posted information on the recall here. Featured Gallery News Source: NHTSA via Reuters Green Chevrolet GM GMC Natural Gas Vehicles CNG gmc savana
