1964 Chevy C-10 Step Side

This is a nice little daily driver w/ the right look...
This truck gets thumbs up and looks every time i drive it into town!
It is not a show truck, but a nice solid little rat/hot rod w/ lots of potential.

Truck has a 283 V8 motor w/ a Edelbrock 4 barrel carb.,
some chrome and a clean engine bay, paired w/ a turbo 350 tranny.
Dual exhaust w/ stainless Magna Flow mufflers paired w/ chrome side pipes
that gives it a cool look w/ a sweet sound!!! It also has power steering so you can turn it with one finger! Chrome Moon hub caps and trim rings on the
factory 15" steel wheels paired w/ some old school painted white walls.

Just installed a brand new windshield and rubber,
the heater and blower motor work great as well as the windshield wipers!
The turn signals work, new LED brake lights, new oil / volt / temp gauges, new water pump, new fuel sending unit so the gas gauge works! The spedo isn't hooked up because the cable is missing? This truck at some time in it's life had been sandblasted and then primed so it still shows some of the pitting in the metal but is still a really solid little truck. The only rust i see is the usual rocker panels under the door. The rest of the truck is real solid as well as the frame, bed, hood, fenders and cab. It has a treated wood bed that has been varnished in a natural stain. I drive the truck around 60 miles a day round trip to work and she drives straight and smooth at 65 mph. It still has the original 12 bolt rear end and factory coil springs that have been heated to drop it down to a sleek old school look...

This truck is pretty original and would not take much to take it to the next level if you wanted to or just hop in and cruise it like it is!!
It's a real head turner and gets looks from young and old...

It has a clear South Carolina title.

Please don't bid if you don't intend to close the deal!!!
Please ask any and all questions before the end of auction...
I can email more pics if needed.

(there is a few short video's of it on "You Tube" just search - 64 Chevy Rat Rod Truck)

Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:

24 Hours of Le Mans live update part two

Sun, Jun 19 2016

We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and can hold his breath longer than he can go without swearing. For Part One, click here. Or you can skip ahead to Part Three here. I write about surfing for a living. If you can call it a living. Basically means I spend my days fucking around and my wife pays for everything. Because she's got a real job that pays well. Brings home the bacon. Very progressive arrangement. Super twenty first century. I run a surf website, beachgrit.com, with two other guys. It's a strange gig. More or less uncensored. Kind of popular. Very good at alienating advertisers. My behavior has cost us a few bucks. I'm terrible at self-censorship. Know there's a line out there, no idea where it lies. I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. For contests I do long rambling write ups. They rarely make much sense. Mainly just talk about my life, whatever random thoughts pop into my head. "Can you do something similar for Le Mans?" "Sure, but I know absolutely fuck-all about racing." "That's okay. Just write what you want." "Will do. But you're gonna need to edit my stuff. Probably censor it heavily." So here I am. I spent the last week trying to learn all I can about the sport of endurance racing. But there's only so much you can jam in your head. And I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. While I rambled things were happening. Tracy Krohn spun into the gravel on the Forza chicane. #89 is out of the race after an accident I missed. Pegasus racing hit the wall on the Porsche curves. Bashed up front end, in the garage getting fixed. Toyota and Porsche are swapping back and forth in the front three. Ford back in the lead in GTE Pro. #91 Porsche took a stone through the radiator, down two laps. Not good. The wife and I are one of those weird childless couples that spend way too much time caring for the needs of their pet. French bulldog, Mr Eugene Victor Debs. Great little guy. Spent the last four years training him to be obedient and friendly. Nice thing about dogs, when you're sick of dealing with them you can just lock 'em in another room for a few hours. You don't need to worry about paying for college.

Stolen '57 Chevy Returned To Owner After 30 Years

Fri, Feb 21 2014

Three decades after it was stolen, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been returned to a Northern California man - in better shape than when he originally owned it. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports Ian "Skip" Wilson was shocked to get a call from the California Highway Patrol informing him that his long-lost Chevy was taken off an Australia-bound cargo ship. The 65-year-old says the car has had a lot of work done on it since it disappeared from his Lake County home in 1984. It was returned with a monogrammed interior, 17-inch racing wheels, rack-and-pinion steering and a 350-horsepower V-8 engine. The retired mechanic says the two-door was in sorry shape when he bought it for $375 in 1975 with plans for fixing it up.
