you are bidding on a truck that is in great condition considering its age. Amid the rust in usual places, it is still very solid and has a rust free under carriage, meaning, there is no holes underneath. lt has dents, but they are not major. everything works inside and out of the truck, windows, heater/defrost, wipers, lights, cig liter, turn signals, horn. Has original seat and seat belts as well as floor mats but may need to be replaced. The bed inside other than scratched is really clean with few dents considering its age and needs new boards. l purchased it from a friend whose father had it and recently passed away. Truck had been sitting a while so l changed everything, master cylinder, rr wheel cylinders, front brake hose lines, all fuel hoses & fuel pump, water hoses and all fluids, just to be safe. l didnt change frt cylinders as u may want to put disc brakes, but they work fine. brake shoes still have a lot of life to them. lt has a secondary oil filter as seen in pic, had small leak, nothing major, but enough to annoy me and my driveway. its disconnected, easy to reconnect if you choose to keep it just change the seal. lt has a kill switch, engine purrs smooth and sits pretty and has a 2 barrel carb. Only problem is it sometimes jams between 1st and 2nd, trying to have problem fixed by end of auction. This is an excellent restoration vehicle as it can be original or custom, even exhuast looks original. l didnt touch it as l like dual exhaust and l dont know if new owner wants original single quiet exhaust. The whole truck is complete, drives great and is ready to restore to new owners wants and desires. the original split rim spare tire is still there, but l wouldnt use it. My guess is it has a 283 and it looks rebuilt, but l have no clue if it was as my freind doesnt know either. lf you have any questions, contact me before bidding, buyer assumes all shipping and delivery costs or you can pick up from my residence.
Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time, due within 7 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours, l reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise.

PLEASE ONLY BID WHAT YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY. IF THE RESERVE IS NOT MET, l MAY CONTACT THE HIGHEST BIDDER TO OFFER THE SECOND CHANCE OPTION.

Chevy shows much-improved 2014 Corvette interior in new video

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

If you want a closer look at what went into designing and building the interior for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, we've got just the thing. General Motors has released a new video detailing the cabin's evolution from conception to execution, complete with commentary from Ryan Vaughn, performance car interior design manager with Chevrolet. The quick clip details how manufacturing, engineering and design within General Motors worked together from the first sketches to ensure no compromises had to be made later down the line. How novel.
With plenty of hides traced with contrast stitching and available real carbon fiber trim, the cabin looks to be a few hundred miles ahead of the C6. Given how readily critics derided the previous generation for its cabin, the C7 should make writers work a little harder to find something to complain about. Check out the video below for yourself.

GM cutting production at two plants

Thu, Feb 26 2015

General Motors is continuing to adjust to excess supply of some of its brands' models. To get production more in line with the vehicles' actual demand, the automotive giant is idling two of its factories in North America in the coming months. The Orion Assembly plant is going to be down from March 9-13, according to an anonymous plant worker and another insider speaking to Automotive News. The factory builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, but there are plenty of both models sitting on dealer lots, including 216 days worth of Sonics, according to AN. The factory already had two idle periods announced to reduce the excess. In addition, downtime is scheduled at GM's "Flex" line at the Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, plant from April 13-17. This affects supply of the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala, Buick Regal and Cadillac XTS. Among them, the automotive giant has the largest supply of Regals ready for dealers with 213 days worth of them, according to AN. The future for the whole Oshawa factory is cloudy in general, though. There are rumors that it could close entirely in the future because the Camaro is leaving and the Regal and XTS might not last much longer than 2017. The Canadian government and the labor union there intend to put up a fight, though. China's rise, global restructuring wither GM's Korea division

Wed, Jan 7 2015

An article in the Daily Kanban suggests the sun is setting on GM Korea, and it could already be well into dusk. GM Korea came about when General Motors, along with co-investors SAIC and Suzuki, bought Daewoo Motors from parent company Daewoo Group in 2001; it had a previous tie-up with GM, a joint venture that ended in 1992, although Daewoo cars were based on GM cars until 1996. Over the decade following the purchase, it became such an important part of operations that it was renamed GM Korea in 2011, "to reflect its heightened status in [the] global operations of GM." Just two years later, the printed rumors were that the subsidiary responsible for a fifth of Chevrolet's global production could be shutting down. The division's sales were down almost 21 percent through November of last year, counting domestic South Korean sales, exports, and CKD – Complete Knock Down – products. That makes the labor strife, already an issue for four years, even more acute, reports say the subsidiary will lose $36 million a year if it can't get the job and wage cuts it wants, and government concessions can't make up for the losses. And it gets worse, so head over to Daily Kanban to read the rest of the story.
