1963 Chevrolet C-10 Rat Rod Pickup,5 Spd,230 6cyl, 3 Carbs,fresh Build Must See! on 2040-cars
Apopka, Florida, United States
You are viewing a 1963 Chevrolet C-10 Pickup. This is one of the coolest RAT RODS I have ever seen! This truck was just completed 2 weeks ago. I want to point out that most RAT RODS are built with used junk yard parts. That’s cool, but that is not the case here. Most parts have been completely rebuilt. I wanted to build a Rat Rod that was definitely a Rat look, but built with dependability and reliability in mind. Something you can drive every day! The body on this truck is actually very nice. Please note the patina you see is all natural. This has not been painted or made to look like this. Any blue you see is from the original paint! I added a few coats of clear to give it this look and to protect the original patina. Has custom hand painted OLD School pinstriping throughout. The bed is all new. Interior has original seat completely rebuilt. Seat is recovered in Old School Green Metallic and Black with matching Steering Wheel. Dash is original. Motor is a1964,230 inline 6 Cyl. The motor and head are completely rebuilt. Have receipts to verify all work done on engine. Only 50 break in miles on motor! Carbs are freshly rebuilt 3 in line Single Barrel Rochesters on a polished Offenhauser manifold. Has progressive linkage that works perfect! Runs on center carb until you stand on it. Gets amazing gas mileage! Transmission is an S-10 5 Speed with New Clutch. Rear end is late model Chevy 10 bolt. Has front Disc Brakes,Drum Rear. Riding on brand new Coker Radial Tires with Wide Whites and Baby Moons. I have installed green LED lights to light up engine and under the dash operated by switch under dash. Very cool at night! This truck drives perfect! As I said, it was built to drive every day if you like. Just a blast to drive and draws a crowd everywhere it goes. I designed a little fun theme with this truck. Please notice the 1950’s Budweiser Cooler, the Vintage Army Container, and the Tool Box mounted in the rear of bed. Tool box is actually a gas grill! Mounted on a hinge to swing out on the tailgate. Perfect for tailgating at local shows or the beach! This is truly a one of a kind Rat Rod Pickup. Please feel free to email or call if you have any questions. I would love to talk to you about this truck as it is one of my creations. Thanks for looking. Paul 407-256-8911 Please call for a BUY-IT-NOW price! I sell most of my vehicles with BUY-IT-NOW option.

2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.
Europeans ask Chevy to bring Volt back to Europe
Fri, Aug 14 2015A group of French fans is asking for a jolt of support from General Motors to get the 2016 Chevrolet Volt across the pond. The Association Amperistes et Amis des Vehicules Rechargeables is running a Change.org petition that currently has 383 signatures out of a goal of 500. While the attempt is admirable, it's probably going to take a lot more than several hundred people for the model to make a return to the continent after the poor showing of the Opel Ampera – first-gen Volt's European cousin. The group's major argument for bringing a version of the second-gen Volt to Europe is that consumers need "an intermediate choice between expensive or range-limited pure electric cars and plug-in hybrids with a miserable electric range." Furthermore, such a vehicle would prod the competition to produce similarly efficient electrified models. They also lavish praise on the abilities of the Ampera for its long EV driving range. The supporters aren't entirely kind to GM in the petition, though, and claim the company excluded the original car from marketing efforts there. The Ampera actually enjoyed a strong European launch with more orders than initially expected and briefly topped the best-sellers list among EVs there. It was even named 2012 European Car of the Year. Those halcyon days didn't last long, and by 2014 sales fell off to a trickle. The waning reception caused GM's decision not to introduce a version of the new 2016 Volt there or in Australia. Related Video:
