1962 Chevy C10 Stepside & Shortbox Pickup DUAL HUMP DASH

Replaced Electrical Wiring. Working A/C and Heat (via optional unit under glovebox, heat and a/c works well but the defrost isn't hooked up as i live in san diego and haven't needed it)--Working One Speed Wipers (no spray feature) --Interior-- New Bucket Seats, Driver 6 Way Power Seat, New Door Panels, New Headliner/Visors, New Pioneer CD/Aux Stereo with New 6"x9" Speakers, AUTO METER Gages (gas, temp, oil, volt, speedometer) --Interior is Black with White Stitching--Tilt Steering Wheel Overall this is stunning and gets a lot of attention. Runs and Drives Great, Needs Nothing. Must Sell as we are moving. I was told that it had under 100k miles when restoration was done, and since restoration around 4700 miles. there is probably 25k in this so it is a great deal (clean california title in hand) things that aren't perfect-speedometer is off a little due to the larger tires-the truck vibrates at highway speeds I assume it needs an alignment, and maybe new shocks (shocks are pretty cheap on these), I dont drive at freeway speeds often, but it doesn't feel dangerous, just something if you were going to comute long distances with you might want to address, sometimes the left seat back lever is a little stiff ( i have always been able to move it but slightly stiff) the glass has some minor scratching, it isn't significant but fyi. this is a head turner, fun to drive, reliable, and something you can have fun in. this has had a good restoration but not a 100k concourse restoration. There is NO rust this has black licence plates (those that live in california know this means it has been in california its whole life and are the plates that it had when sold originally. Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.
Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
Chevrolet SS previewed by Holden VF Commodore SS V show car
Thu, 14 Feb 2013It won't be long before we see the official, production-ready Chevrolet SS sedan (hint: it will be revealed this weekend). And to tide us over until all of the official details are released about the US-spec version, we have this: the Holden VF Commodore SS V show car, a performance-oriented brother to the Calais V that debuted earlier in the week.
What we really want to know about the SS V is what lies underhood, but General Motors' Australian arm is keeping that under wraps until the Chevy model breaks cover this weekend. Nevertheless, it's obvious that the SS V will be a serious performer, with all sorts of aggressive cues driving that home on the car's exterior. Take a look at those 20-inch billet aluminum wheels that hide big Brembo brake calipers up front, the sculpted hood and front fascia, the wide air intakes with LED running lights and the quad exhaust pipes out back. It's like the Pontiac G8 GXP never even left us.
Inside, there's a sporty-looking interior with aluminum accents that mix in with black leather and suede surfaces, all tied together in the middle with an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. It looks great, and again, while we don't know anything regarding powertrain details, it makes us oh-so happy to see a manual shifter smack dab in the middle of the center console.
