"1967 Chevrolet C10 Stepside Pickup Truck" Not A 57 58 59 60 61 62 63 64 65 66 on 2040-cars
Trumbull, Connecticut, United States
I'm selling my old school patina 1967 Chevy Stepside Pickup with only 51,000 original miles. Truck has its inline 6 cylinder engine with 3 speed standard transmission (3 on the tree). Truck shifts smoothly and runs good. Just installed a new master cylinder, all rubber/ metal brake lines and shoes. Tuned up with new wires, plugs, points, oil etc... I left the truck in the condition I found it just updated the bed to give it a ratrod look, but the original metal rails are underneath. The truck has rust and dents. That's what I wanted for that old patina cool factor. I flat blacked the original rims, added thick whitewalls to it and then put on the original center hubs. I updated the rear lights (brake light/signal and reverse)with new gaskets, bulbs and lenses.
It's a really cool truck that I wanted to add an air ride suspension to and or drop, but have NOT at this time. The interior is original and looks good except for the rip on the seat, which I covered with a Serape. The VIN number run down is the following for this truck (CS147B145011): C = 2wd/ S = 6 Cyl/ 1 = GVW 1/2 Ton / 4 = Pickup w Bed / 7 = 1967/ B = Baltimore Assembly Plant/ and 145011 is the Production Sequence. Serious buyers can contact me at (203)521-7858 regarding any questions or concerns. Please feel free to take a look at the truck in person before bidding! This truck was always in Connecticut and had an up to date registration by the previous owner. Clean CT. Title, but CT is a NO TITLE ANTIQUE STATE. Bill of sale only and the current registration will be issued to the buyer. Please ask your spouse before bidding!!! I can assist with and make myself available for your transportation needs, obviously at the winning bidder's expense. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at (203)521-7858. I'm located in Connecticut, I encourage everyone to come check it out for yourself. Good luck bidding! On Aug-05-14 at 18:47:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Someone asked me to take a picture of the build sheet attached to the rear of the glove box door, so I photographed it and took found two (2) original truck booklets. I never noticed them before! In the photograph you will see the Protect-O-Plate Imprint plate. |

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
Chevy up to old EVs-equal-range-anxiety tricks in new Volt Olympics ad
Fri, Feb 14 2014General Motors is at it again with a new Chevrolet Volt TV commercial. Viewers of the Winter Olymics (at least in some markets) recently saw a TV ad in between the skating and the skiing that made no mention of the environmental benefits or freedom from the power of Big Oil that electric vehicles provide. No, this one was based on pure survival instinct. In the video, a father is driving down a highway, perhaps through the Mojave Desert. His young son is sitting in the Volt's backseat and asks what happens when the EV's battery runs out. "We'll have to cross that burning desert with snakes and cactus until we make it back to civilization," the dad tells his son as they pass the skeleton of a fallen bull. The fine print makes it clear that the actual maximum range is 342 miles. But there is hope. The father tells his son, with a beaming smile on his face, that the gas generator has kicked in and they're going to make it through the desert. As they wend their way to the horizon, a voice over says that Volt drivers who charge up regularly are making it 900 miles between fill ups. The fine print makes it clear that the actual official maximum range before you need to either plug in or fill up is 342 miles. This theme that emphasized range anxiety has been utilized by GM since the extended range Volt was launched in late 2010, despite the fact that Chevrolet now offers an all-electric vehicle in the Spark EV. Volt fans are praising the commercial, called The New Freedom, on the GM-Volt forum and you can see for yourself below. This content is hosted by a third party. Nissan Leaf keeps plug-in vehicle sales crown for 6th straight month
Thu, May 1 2014And Nissan makes it 14 in a row. For the 14th straight month, the all-electric Leaf has had "record sales," according to Nissan's marketing team. What that means is that for that particular month (in this case, April) no matter what year you look at, the car sold more than it ever did before. For April 2014, the 2,088 Leafs sold represents a 7.8-percent increase from 2013. Nissan's director of EV sales and marketing, Toby Perry, said in a statement that the "new market" of Cincinnati made the top 25 list for Leaf sales areas in April, so the car's popularity continues to ebb and flow across the US. Over at Chevy, the Volt sold 1,548 units in April, reaching a year-to-date total of 5,154. The Leaf is outpacing that with 7,272 YTD sales. In 2013, the Volt outsold the Leaf by about 500 vehicles, but Leaf sales are up 33 percent year-over-year while Volt is down 7.1 percent. The Leaf has also outsold the Volt for six straight months. But we're excited for every eco-car sale, and that's why we'll have our monthly detailed write-up of the rest of the plug-ins, hybrids and diesel vehicles available soon. Until then, discuss.
