Lifted 1987 K5 Full Size Blazer, Silverado Trim, 38" Tsl Super Swampers on 2040-cars
Duluth, Georgia, United States
Heres a chance at a rare K5 that is sure to turn heads eveywhere you go. It has 200,000 on the body but has a new motor with a mild cam, hooker headers, TBI chip from Harris Performance Inc, Fuel injection, New A/C components but never charged up, SM 465 Muncie 4 speed manual transmission the replaced the 350 automatic. The tranmission line were left in place if you want to switch it back to an automatic. The steering cloumn wasn't changed either and all the wires are there if you want to switch it back. it has the standard 3:73 gears so you can drive it on the road to any off road excursion. If you really want it to move, I'd put 4:10's in it. I like it the way it is. I just use the granny gear as 1st and it does just fine. Norust! Solid body all the wat around and I pulled the carpet to show that there is no rust in the floor pans as well. Interior is good but the driver seat has a rip and some padding missing. 38 inch Super Swampers with good tread left. Drives great for a lifted vehicle. The body is 90% straight with a few small dings and minor scratches but nothing major. All the glass is good and has rebuilt driveshafts, a heavy duty rear differential cover, and a ton of odds and ends I'm sure I am forgetting. It was built for a police department in middle Georgia and used as a backup rescue vehicle. Since the motor and transmission were put in it probably has about 20,000 miles on it. Back window works. I have door and ignition keys (GM originals) I have way more money into it than I'm asking, so please keep offers reasonable. Clear title in hand. No emissions required! Please let me know if you want specific pictures or more info on anything. Thanks and God Bless.

Chevrolet Malibu gets across-the-board price cuts, hopes to dig out of slump
Mon, 11 Feb 2013To say that things aren't going well for the newly redesigned 2013 Chevrolet Malibu is a pretty sizable understatement. Reports have been swirling about the Malibu getting an emergency design refresh, less than a year after its introduction, as well as having its production at the Fairfax Assembly Plant halted twice already this year for excessive inventory. Now, Motor Trend is reporting that the midsize sedan will be receiving price drops across the board ranging from $300 on a number of models up to $770 on the 1LT trim; offsetting some of MSRP drop, though, the destination charge has increased from $760 to $810.
Without destination, the entry-level Malibu LS now starts at $21,995, which is still about $300 more than a Honda Accord and about $300 less than the segment's top-selling Toyota Camry. This new pricing also drops the price of the Eco, 2LT and 3LT trims by $300. The LTZ trim has dropped by $415, meaning that the Malibu's top dog now starts at just under $30,000, excluding destination.
Here are the new starting prices for all eight of the Malibu trim levels compared to the previous prices for the 2013 model year (including destination):
Chevrolet donates 300 vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Super Storm Sandy took out a lot of automobiles in its path of destruction through the Northeast last October. The number surpassed 250,000 at last count, and a few of those were owned by Chevrolet - cars either sitting on dealership lots or waiting at port to be shipped off. Rendered unsellable by the water damage inflicted by Sandy, these vehicles were facing the crusher. But Chevy didn't send them there.
Instead, Chevy had a better idea: It will be donating 300 of these vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders at Guardian Centers in Perry, GA. Chevy is the official automotive partner of Guardian Centers, which is an 830-acre facility that trains first responders in disaster preparedness. Junked cars are practically a consumable commodity there, where a full-size cityscape simulator gives trainees an entire urban center in which to train for all sorts of rescue operations and disaster scenarios.
Chevy says its particular vehicles will be used "in conjunction with role players for wide area searches, traffic congestion in emergency situations, counter terrorism, public order and mass casualty exercises." While grim scenarios all, we're certainly glad there are people out there preparing for the unexpected. While a zombie apocalypse isn't officially on the list of potential disasters to prepare for, when the virus hits, we'll be hot-footing it to Perry, GA to hang with these guys and gals.
Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial
Sat, 16 Mar 2013
The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
