YOU ARE VIEWING A VERY NICE 1987 CHEVY SILVERADO K5 BLAZER 4x4. THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR OF THE FUEL INJECTION. IT HAS A 5.7 LITER 350 THAT RUNS GREAT WITH ONLY 154,000 ORIGINAL MILES. THE 4x4 WORKS GREAT AND SO DOES THE TRANSMISSION. IT HAS A GOOD PAINT JOB THAT WAS DONE IN 2006. THE PAINT COLOR WAS CHANGED FROM THE FACTORY GRAY TO STEALTH GRAY METALLIC WHICH IS ON SOME OF THE MODERN DAY CARS. THERE IS A COUPLE OF SMALL RUST SPOTS THAT HAVE STARTED BUT IS NOT RUSTED THROUGH, ONE IS ON THE PLATE ON THE INNER FENDER AND THE OTHER IS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE UNDER THE DOOR. THESE ARE NOT BAD AT ALL , BUT WANTED TO MENTION IT. THE INTERIOR IS IN GREAT SHAPE (I BELIEVE ORIGINAL) NO TEARS IN THE SEATS AND NO CRACKS IN THE DASH, CARPET IS GOOD WITH HUSKY FLOOR MATS IN THE FRONT. THIS MODEL DID NOT HAVE POWER WINDOWS OR LOCKS, BUT HAS AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH CRUISE. IT HAS NEW ALUMINUM WHEELS AND MICHELIN TIRES, NEW BRAKES, NEW REAR WINDOW MOTOR, NEW ALPINE SYSTEM, NEW AIR CONDITION, NEW EXHAUST (LIKE FACTORY). THIS BLAZER HAS ONLY HAD 5,000 MILES PUT ON IT SINCE 2006, IT HAS BEEN STORED INSIDE. I DID A CARFAX ON IT AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED. THIS BLAZER HAS NEVER BEEN USED FOR MUDDBOGGING. THE ONLY REASON I AM SELLING IT IS BECAUSE I HAVE FOUND A TRUCK THAT I AM WANTING TO PURCHASE. Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.

Fri, 22 Mar 2013When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile
Mon, 18 Nov 2013The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.
