1986 K5 Blazer Rock Crawler on 2040-cars
Charlotte, North Carolina, United States
I have a 1986 K5 BLAZER with a fresh 355 v8 that has the 5.0 HO heads with 3angle valve job and valve springs for the rv cam. It has the DIY shackle flip rear with 56" springs and the DIY b52 and beyond front hangers with 52" front springs. This truck will flex like crazy and is really street friendly. I would drive this truck anywhere without a second guess. For the wheels and tires. Mickey Thompson alum rims with 33x12.50 good year Duratrac tires that are brand new may be 2000 miles on them. Long tube headers with full exhaust into flowmaster muffler sounds real good. BDS shocks with extended front shock mounts. 700R4 trans with cooler and stock 10 bolts with limited slip. I forgot to mention on the engine it has a tuned Edelbrock 600 cfm carb with a Edelbrock fuel pump and complete MSD hei ignition and wires. The truck has some flaws that include paint-window felt and interior is in good shape with one little tear on drivers seat but it is original. This is a good reliable off road truck that my daughter and i built we are on a new project now so this one has to go. I've tried to describe everything as honest as possible if any questions let me know.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1
Mon, 13 Jan 2014
The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
Chevrolet donates 300 vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Super Storm Sandy took out a lot of automobiles in its path of destruction through the Northeast last October. The number surpassed 250,000 at last count, and a few of those were owned by Chevrolet - cars either sitting on dealership lots or waiting at port to be shipped off. Rendered unsellable by the water damage inflicted by Sandy, these vehicles were facing the crusher. But Chevy didn't send them there.
Instead, Chevy had a better idea: It will be donating 300 of these vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders at Guardian Centers in Perry, GA. Chevy is the official automotive partner of Guardian Centers, which is an 830-acre facility that trains first responders in disaster preparedness. Junked cars are practically a consumable commodity there, where a full-size cityscape simulator gives trainees an entire urban center in which to train for all sorts of rescue operations and disaster scenarios.
Chevy says its particular vehicles will be used "in conjunction with role players for wide area searches, traffic congestion in emergency situations, counter terrorism, public order and mass casualty exercises." While grim scenarios all, we're certainly glad there are people out there preparing for the unexpected. While a zombie apocalypse isn't officially on the list of potential disasters to prepare for, when the virus hits, we'll be hot-footing it to Perry, GA to hang with these guys and gals.
