1980 Chevrolet Blazer 427 Auto on 2040-cars
Vancouver, Washington, United States
This is a super clean, nice running and driving Blazer 2wd. The original 350 was replaced in 1995 with a 1968 427 big block Chevy. The 427 is a mild build that is street friendly with a little thump. The exhaust is 3" through 50 series Flow Master mufflers and sounds tuff but is not deafening. The transmission was converted to a Turbo 400 rebuilt at the same time. The rear differential was rebuilt with 3.73 gears at the same time. The drivetrain has 12,000 miles on it. The truck was repainted enamel in 1992 and looks great with a few chips here and there. It is lowered with stepped A arms up front and lowering springs. The rear leafs were modified. It was not C notched. The ride is very good with just a little bounce on bumps. Alignment is good but it does slightly wear more on the inside of the front tires. The interior is original and in nice shape. Carpet is faded. Slight tear in driver seat. A small puncture in the rear seat. Door panels are faded at the tops. A carpet kit and door panels and the interior would be ready for car shows. or drive as is. Factory options include power windows, slider side windows, bucket seats with console, power brakes and steering, and cruise control that works great. Wheels are brand new American Racing Custom Shop VN425, 18x10 back, 17x8 front. Tires are brand new too. I am the second owner and I have the full documented history of it including the original bill of sale from a dealership in Sandy, Oregon and the original window sticker. Overall it is just a 1980's time capsule hot rod that is ready to cruise or use as a daily driver. NO RUST!!! It has been stored indoors since new and mileage is correct! Give me a call if you have any questions. I can assist with shipping along the West coast for around $500 enclosed. Mark 360-903-oh 9 oh 1

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts
Wed, 27 Feb 2013There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.
First 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 Sells For One Million Dollars
Mon, Apr 14 2014NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick loves buying first-built Chevrolet models for charity. He paid $1 million to buy the first production 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible and $650,000 to get the first 2014 Chevy Camaro Z/28. Hendrick's latest purchase happened at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach where he got into a bidding war to pay $1 million to get the first 2015 Corvette Z06. The bidding came quick with the car reaching $100,000 within 3 seconds and hitting $500,000 in about 35 seconds. The money from the sale was donated to the Karmanos Cancer Institute.
