You are looking at a 1979 Chevrolet Blazer, 4WD, 350 V8 w/ 350 Turbo transmission. Has had a lot of custom work done to it and is in very good condition. Please treat this auction serious. I will start with the MECHANICS.... Runs excellent. Has 115K original miles on it. The motor runs smooth and has good power. The parts that are NEW under the hood are : Battery, Exhaust( including the Catilac converter), headers ( smog legal ), and water pump. Has a newer 350 Turbo transmission with around 20K on it. There is some minor oil leaking underneath. Not sure where it is coming from but it is very minor, looks a little wet in some areas (its a 1979) however I have not noticed any dripping. The 4WD works great! It has a nice 8" lift done by Trailmaster. All suspension- no body. The shocks are less than 1 year old. The suspension is in great shape. The alignment is very straight. Sits on brand new 33" Firestone tires with new 15" Chrome steel wheels. The brakes are less than one year old. This truck runs and drives great! It is a daily driver. Handles nice and tight and is fun to drive. Just smogged as well. EXTERIOR... The body is in excellent condition. There is NO body damage at all and NO rust whatsoever. The paint is 1 year old and sprayed with colored bed liner (looks tough) The paint is in good shape. There are a few nicks a scratches (see pics) looks very good overall. The exterior was converted to full convertible like the Chevy's from 1973-1974. The drivers door was cut to make it a half door. The top is from a 1973. Weather stripping was added to top and the conversion was done well. The top was painted at the same time and it looks excellent. The top is in very good condition. No damage to it at all. The chrome bumpers are in very good condition. All the lights and lenses are in great shape.. Overall the exterior is in very good condition. The INTERIOR... For the most part all of the interior is new. The carpet and seats are less than 6 months old and in excellent condition. The dash was painted red and is in good shape. All of the weather stripping is in good condition. Has a Grant steering wheel. Has tilt wheel steering. The interior in this truck is nice. The ELECTRICAL... Great shape. Everything works great. Has complete AC system however it is not blowing any air, I do not know why. Has a new Boss sound system including speakers and head unit. This is a nice truck that turns heads wherever it goes. Has a clear California title, current registration, and smog.

Chevy to resume engine-building program for 2015 Corvette Z06
Thu, Jan 8 2015One of Chevrolet's most popular and unique customer features is set to return for 2015, as the company has announced that the Engine Build Experience is back. Interested owners will be able to screw together their engines beginning in March. The $5,000 option (which does not include the cost of travel) will give future owners of the 2015 Corvette Z06 the chance to screw together their car's actual 6.2-liter, supercharged V8. Available on each of the Z06's three trims, the Engine Build Experience includes a day at the Performance Build Center, instruction from an engine assembly tech, photographs of the experience and a personalized engine plaque. Once the build process is completed, the engine will (eventually) be fitted under the hood of the customer's personal Z06. "Chevrolet recognizes the passion customers have for Corvette and the Engine Build Experience offers them a truly unique opportunity for hands-on involvement in the creation of the heart of their new car," Corvette product manager Harlan Charles. "It's important for customers to understand their engine won't be installed the day after they built it. It will flow into the scheduling process for vehicle assembly, which depends on a number of logistical variables." Scroll down for the official announcement of the Z06's Engine Build Experience, available below. Exclusive Corvette Engine Build Experience Returns Program renewed for supercharged LT4 engine at new Bowling Green build center 2015-01-07 BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Chevrolet announced today it is resuming the exclusive Engine Build Experience for Corvette Z06 customers – the only program of its kind for supercar customers. Starting in March 2015, Corvette Z06 customers will be able to assemble the 650-hp supercharged LT4 engine for their cars at the new Performance Build Center inside the Bowling Green Assembly Plant. "Chevrolet recognizes the passion customers have for Corvette and the Engine Build Experience offers them a truly unique opportunity for hands-on involvement in the creation of the heart of their new car," said Harlan Charles, Corvette product manager. "It's a chance to bond with their new car." The Engine Build Experience is selected with order code PBC and is offered on all Z06 trim levels.
Looking back at the Citation IV concept that likely shaped the GM EV1
Wed, Aug 20 2014Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. We're not sure how that applies to the GM EV1, but we'd still like to share something from Autoline Daily, an online automotive new show with our friend John McElroy. He's been covering the business for decades now and recently found something interesting: pictures of the 1984 Chevrolet Citation IV concept, seen above. Displayed half a decade before the first electric concept that would become the EV1 (inset), McElroy says it's now clear that the elegant, aerodynamic EV1 took a lot of styling cues from the Citation IV, which was developed in part thanks to GM's new-at-the-time Aerodynamics Laboratory. We agree with him that the spats over the rear wheels, the flush glass, and the covered headlights all bear a certain kind of similarity between the two cars. That the colors almost match is a nice coincidence. The Impact (the concept version of the EV1) looked "frumpier," McElroy says, because it wasn't as long as the Citation. You can read a lot more about the Citation IV here and check out McElroy's thoughts in the video below. Find the Citation starting at around 3:45. This content is hosted by a third party. Chevrolet SS previewed by Holden VF Commodore SS V show car
Thu, 14 Feb 2013It won't be long before we see the official, production-ready Chevrolet SS sedan (hint: it will be revealed this weekend). And to tide us over until all of the official details are released about the US-spec version, we have this: the Holden VF Commodore SS V show car, a performance-oriented brother to the Calais V that debuted earlier in the week.
What we really want to know about the SS V is what lies underhood, but General Motors' Australian arm is keeping that under wraps until the Chevy model breaks cover this weekend. Nevertheless, it's obvious that the SS V will be a serious performer, with all sorts of aggressive cues driving that home on the car's exterior. Take a look at those 20-inch billet aluminum wheels that hide big Brembo brake calipers up front, the sculpted hood and front fascia, the wide air intakes with LED running lights and the quad exhaust pipes out back. It's like the Pontiac G8 GXP never even left us.
Inside, there's a sporty-looking interior with aluminum accents that mix in with black leather and suede surfaces, all tied together in the middle with an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. It looks great, and again, while we don't know anything regarding powertrain details, it makes us oh-so happy to see a manual shifter smack dab in the middle of the center console.
