You are bidding on a 1978 4X4 K5 Blazer with custom professional full convertible top. This truck is the rare Cheyenne "Trailering Special" 3 speed with Granny Low for towing/climbing also came with a trailer brake assist and stronger rear springs. Truck is equipped with a set of front seats and center console from an 03 Tahoe so the seatbelts are functional after the convertible conversion. Truck has all new door seals, window sweeps, and cab and top seals. Tires are Sport King All Terrain with 80% tread. New tie rod ends, stabilizer bar and other front end components.no road walk or shimmy no slack in the steering. Motor is basically stock with Hedman headers with new mufflers dumped before the back axle. Previous owner had the motor rebuilt due to the truck sitting in storage for a few years without being started but not sure how many miles ago. The odometer reads 55k miles but due to the age of the truck I cant verify the mileage to be accurate. Interior features a Grant GT Steering wheel, Pioneer CD player with a set of 5.25 and 6.5 speakers in the rear panels. New vinyl flooring front to back for easy cleaning. Undercarriage had been sprayed with rubberized undercoating. New door locks and sport mirrors. Top has been professionally sprayed with white Gator Guard bed liner for long lasting durability. The conversion was done with a 1973 K5 top and window frame and was done right. Very nice 2 Stage base with clear coat paint job plus all new stainless trim and grill. Truck comes with the original steering wheel, AC compressor and mounting bracket but is not currently on the vehicle. This truck is extremely clean and unique that draws a crowd wherever it goes. Please keep in mind this is a 35 year old vehicle so its not prefect but is very presentable and a great ride. I encourage any potential buyers to have an independent inspection done if desired before bidding. Seller reserves the right to end auction early if sold locally. Please feel free to email with any questions. I am listing for a friend that isn't familiar with selling on Ebay. If you would like to speak with the seller directly please call Logan @ 501-690-5989. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs but will help with delivery inside 30 miles. Good luck and Happy Bidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just sold a very similar full convertible July 4th on Ebay so check my feedback on that one. |

Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out
Thu, 29 Apr 2010Chevrolet Camaro goes to South Korea - Click above for high-res image
General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.
GM laying off 500 workers to slow Chevy Sonic production
Sat, Oct 24 2015Due to slow sales of the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, General Motors is cutting a shift at the Orion Township plant that builds the pair. The move lays off about 500 workers, but most of them are expected to get offers to transfer to other factories, Automotive News reports. The move came just a day after GM announced adding 1,200 employees to the Detroit-Hamtramck plant. GM has been trying all year at the Orion Township factory to align production of the Sonic and Verano with their demand. The automaker first attempted idling the plant several times and eventually resorted to laying off about 100 workers. It also reduced the production rate there. With the huge rise in popularity of crossovers, demand for the plant's small cars is on the downturn. According to Automotive News, there's currently a 116-day supply of Sonics and 100 days of Veranos to sell. Delivers tell a similar tale because the Chevy is off 35.2 percent from January to September, and the Buick does little better with a 27.2 percent drop from the same period last year. While the situation at Orion Township might look rough now, big things are on the horizon. Soon, the new Chevy Bolt electric vehicle will be built there when it hits the market around 2017. Plus, the plant will also get a $245-million upgrade and 300 new jobs for another, unannounced vehicle.
Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites
Sun, Jan 7 2024Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.
