Please e-mail me with questions or to set up an inspection to see the car in person.
The truck was privately owned and it took me a good few months to actually acquire it from the previous owner. I had been looking for one of these 70-72 Blazers for a good couple of years now, and couldn't quite afford them since the ones I usually saw were built to the max or complete rust buckets. This one here was not too far from my house and was in overall excellent shape, both mechanically and cosmetically. Previous owner told me it originally came from sunny Utah, and has been a dry desert truck most of its life. At one point the engine was replaced and in within the last 7-8 years it has only been driven a total of 1000 or so miles so it's very fresh. Nicely optioned, with original 136k miles (only 1000 of those miles on new engine) that you can get in and drive anywhere without worries.
OPTIONS:
Power steering
Power DISC front brakes
Bucket seat interior
Dual exhaust
Stock truck Rally wheels with 31" tires
Automatic transmission on the column
Full soft top
Dual color (white with gray lower body)
Tow hitch
4 wheel drive
350ci 4bbl. V8
Mechanically it fires right up and sounds great along with the nice and throaty exhaust system. Motor is a 350ci V8 that is virtually all stock with the exception of an aluminum intake manifold and 4bbl. carburetor conversion. Transmission is solid and shifts good through all the gears without any noises or grinding. Now as for driving the car, i've mostly driven it around town here and there, every once in a while hauling some parts with it or taking it to the local cruise night or car show when the weather was nice. You can cruise with it on the highway all day and I would trust it to drive anywhere at the drop of a hat.
Interior is very presentable. Bucket seats in good shape, recovered some years ago (there is no back seat). Door panels in excellent shape overall. Carpet is presentable with normal wear. Dash pad is excellent. Soft top is very good overall with NO rips, and just some light fogging on the plastic windows. Overall very presentable for a working man's driver truck.
Underside has a SOLID frame. Excellent original floorboards and bed frame, with only some scaly surface rust underneath, from regular use, and two dime sized holes by driver's side inner fender well. VERY NICE DRY CAR OVERALL!
The old girl is NOT perfect by any means of course so please keep that in mind when bidding. Paint is in fairly good shape and cleans up very nice, but is older and does have a few imperfections here and there from regular use, as you would expect (not super shiny as it's single stage, but shows well). A couple of bubbles under the paint, on passenger door, and some minor traces of filler by lower door corners and rockers. Not working: horn (not connected), radio (not connected), perhaps a bulb or two here and there would need replacing. When the truck is cold, the belts squeal a bit until it warms up.
So overall she is not perfect and will need some minor TLC depending on how nice you want it to be and what you plan to do with the car. Please note, I cannot remember every single issue with the car, nor do I know everything wrong with it, as it is after all over 30 years old so keep that in mind.
If you just want a GREAT LOOKING and nearly RUST-FREE DRIVER, this is the car for you. If you want a show car, it will need some considerable investment or total restoration to bring it up to that level of course. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE BIDDING OR SERIOUSLY INTERESTED TO COME LOOK AT IT IN PERSON. I WILL BE GLAD TO SHOW IT TO YOU TOP TO BOTTOM SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO.

Cadillac CT6 production ceases January 2020 as part of D-Ham layoffs
Fri, Dec 6 2019General Motors filed paperwork under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act with Michigan's Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity this week, detailing events to come at the automaker's Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant. Starting February 28, 814 salaried and hourly workers at D-Ham, as its called, will be laid off. The 753 workers represented by the UAW will begin receiving offers in January to relocate to facilities in Michigan and Ohio, or buyout offers. As the 4-million-square-foot plant winds down through April 3 to a skeleton crew, the Cadillac CT6 ceases production in January 2020, and the last Chevrolet Impala comes off the line on February 28. The loss of the CT6 represents the end of Cadillac's latest brief, and highly regarded, adventure into flagship sedans. It might also mean the end of the 4.2-liter Blackwing twin-turbo V8 engine, at least for the moment. Both casualties are calamities. The death of the Impala closes the door on a nameplate in production for 52 years since 1957, having started off as a top-tier trim for the 1958 Bel Air known as the Bel Air Impala, once advertised with the line, "Lets you know you're the boss." As part of the new four-year labor agreement with the UAW, GM is keeping D-Ham open to build a new line of battery-electric vehicles, ultimately investing $3 billion and tripling employment to 2,225 workers when fully operational. The agreement described the coming EV as a "van" that would commence production in late 2021, but various reports say what's actually coming is a range of premium EVs in pickup and SUV bodystyles under the program codename BT1. The easy predictions put an electric GMC Sierra and Cadillac Escalade among the EV fold, but not until 2023, according to auto industry forecaster LMC Automotive. Before that, LMC claims an electric van will debut in late 2021, along with a battery-powered rebirth of the Hummer brand in pickup and SUV forms, also in late 2021.

May 2016: FCA wins, Ford and GM stumble on weak car volumes
Wed, Jun 1 2016The May 2016 sales numbers are in, and it looks as though FCA is getting some vindication for boldly cancelling two slow-selling car models. Meanwhile, Ford saw overall sales dip and GM's May volume took a big dive versus the same month in 2015. While Marchionne's decision to axe the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart has drawn criticism as being short-sighted, it's working for FCA so far. Although the Dart and 200 aren't out of production yet and no capacity has been shifted to crossover or trucks, May's numbers show that the emphasis on Jeep and Ram models makes sense right now. FCA's US sales rose 1 percent last month compared to May 2015, putting the year-to-date total at 955,186 vehicles, an increase of 6 percent compared to the same period last year. Standouts included the Jeep Renegade, Compass, and Patriot, and the Fiat 500X. Ram pickup sales were down 3 percent. And your fun fact is that Alfa Romeo sales were up precisely 10 percent, for a total of 44 4Cs sold versus 40 in the same month last year. At FoMoCo, the Ford brand took a hit to the tune of 6.4 percent from May 2015 to 2016, registering 226,190 sales last month. Lincoln showed improvement on its modest numbers, going from 9,174 to 9,807, a 6.9 percent increase. Overall, Ford was down 5.9 percent for the month to 235,997; despite the slump, year-to-date total Ford sales are up 4.2 percent to 1,112,939. Strong sellers included Escape, Expedition, F-Series, and Transit - big stuff. Most small and/or efficient models (Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, C-Max) saw sales slides. Fusion sales were also down, likely due to effects of model changeover to the freshened 2017 model. Ford has promised four new crossovers and SUVs by 2020 and if things keep trending this way the company will be able to sell them, but things could change in the next four years. GM saw the worst of it for domestic brands. Retail and fleet sales were down for each of the four divisions, with the May 2016 total dropping 18 percent to 240,450 vehicles. GM's year-to-date sales are down 5.0 percent in 2016 to 1,183,705. Both the Sierra and Silverado were down significantly, and the majority of Chevy, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac nameplates saw sales decreases, with both small cars and larger utilities included. Not even big stuff could help GM this month, it seems. We'll have more on the rest of the industry's May sales as those figures trickle in.
