Car is a 2 owner with only 82,500 og. Motor was completely rebuilt @ 79k. The og owner had the motor done and had the exhaust changes over from single to dual exhaust with headers. Then after having the motor & exhaust done. The owner then drove it to a body shop and had the car painted from two tone brown and white to yellow. He then drove it for about 1k miles then parked it in heated garage for just under 20 yrs. Until last summer. Car was bought new in 55 from a dealership less then 20 miles from here. And, even tho in Oregon car has never seen rain.Exterior shines still very beautifully with only acouple small scratches on body. Not a spot of surface rust anywhere on this car. Undercarriage is spot less every nut and bolt still looks new. Interior still has plastic on the seats from dealership, carpet is the only thing that really could be replaced. But, Floor's are spot less and dry. Dash and all trim still shines like new. Radio and speaker still works fine. When car was appraised the appraiser even said in 35 yrs. this is the most OG and cleanest car he has ever seen. Every time I have driven her , I have been approached to either be praised or asked to sell her. Never planned to sell her but do to financial needs. She has to go. Good Luck and thanks for looking. Call for more info. but only if serious please. Thanks again... 541-255-7341

Anti-purist 1963 Ferrari GTE sports hot rod Chevy V8
Thu, Oct 8 2015I remember reading a story around the time Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift came out. It focused on one of the star cars of that film, a 1967 Ford Mustang fastback that started the film as a shell, and in a pinch, was transformed into a modified masterpiece, complete with the RB26DETT engine from a Nissan Skyline GT-R (which started the film under the hood of an S15 Silvia). There was a genuine (and in our minds, absurd) fear in the article that taking a piece of classic American iron and fitting a twin-turbocharged JDM engine would result in some awful trend in the classic car community. If you thought a GT-R-powered classic Mustang was sacrilege, though, this car will probably make you vomit. For the rest of us, it's a neat piece of engineering. Shown above is a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTE, and yes, that's a 302-cubic-inch, small-block Chevrolet V8 under the hood. On top of that, it uses the six-speed manual transmission from a Viper, a nine-inch Ford rear end, and Mitsubishi-sourced paint. So yeah, it's a FrankenFerrari. Check out Road Heads' interview with this custom GTE's owner, which is followed by a brief test drive. And of course, head into Comments afterwards, and let us know what you think. Is this Yankee-powered 250 GTE blasphemous or badass?
Chevy Bolt wins 2017 Green Car of the Year
Thu, Nov 17 2016We knew that a plug-in vehicle was going to win the 2017 Green Car of the Year award this year, given that all five finalists have a way to charge up. And when Ron Cogan, the editor and publisher of Green Car Journal, announced the winner – the 2017 Chevy Bolt EV – he said that the car itself represents one of those times in the auto industry when everything is about to change. Similar to the invention of the starter motor, things are about to get different. For now, though, the fact that the Bolt EV won an award sounds like the same old thing all over again. Just this week, it was named Motor Trends Car of the Year and to the Car And Driver Top 10 list. The other four finalists for Green Car of the Year included the Toyota Prius Prime, the Chrysler Pacifica, the Kia Optima (including hybrid and plug-in hybrid models) and the BMW 330e iPerformance. Last year, the winner was the 2016 Chevy Volt. Did Green Car Journal make the right selection this year? See the award ceremony below.
Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs
Sun, 01 Dec 2013
The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
