1956 Chevy Nomad
If you know your Nomads, then you know what you are looking at. These are highly desirable cars and getting harder to find every day. This car was professionally built in California. I had it shipped to Texas two years ago. This is the 4th Nomad I have owned in 5 years. Every one has been sold because I got an offer I just could not refuse. It's nearly impossible to find a Nomad like this one. Most are either projects or show cars that you would be afraid to drive. This Nomad was built from a frame-off restoration of a near perfect original car.
This car features......
GM 350 Ramjet crate motor - factory GM pulley system - 700R4 trans - custom aluminum radiator with duel electric fans - 4-wheel disc brakes - Curry rear end with polished housing with 3:89 gears - ps - pb - pw- chrome tilt column - Autometer guages with chrome bezel - 17" Torq Thrust II wheels with 245-45's up front and 255-55's in the back - brand new repro interior - Vintage Air - gas shocks on the back window - dropped spindles and dropped springs up front - dropped leaf springs with traction bars out back - 10-disc CD changer and power amp under the back seat with remote under the dash.
The car had just 600 miles on it when I purchased it from the last owner, who had it built professionally in California. There is no rust on this car. As you can see in the undercarriage pictures, the body was removed from the frame when it was built. I have a stack of receipts from Danchuk Industries. Nearly every single piece on this car is new. This car starts, runs and drive perfectly. The engine runs at 180-185 and does not overheat in traffice. The 700R4 overdrive trans shifts firm and goes into overdrive at 45 mph, like it should. The 4-wheels disc brakes are perfectly adjusted and the car drives straight. It does not pull to one side. From the moment you sit in the driver's seat, you know how well this car is built. I have driven the car approximately 1,700 trouble-free miles since I bought it, including two 500-mile trips to the GoodGuys show in Ft. Worth. You can fly in a drive this car home with no worries whatsoever. This car is SOLID and totally roadworthy.
Things to note - There is a nasty scratch on top of the car in the back (see picture). I accidentally opened the garage door while the car was on the lift. The scratch is down to the primer, NOT down to the metal. My painter says this is a $200 fix - relatively cheap, since the paint if not metallic. He is way across town and I have not had time to take the car in. The radio in the dash is a cheap cassette deck and is not connected. The CD changer and power amp are under the back seat and are not connected to the power supply. This is because the battery was in a box in the rear fender well, but I have recently relocated the battery back to the firewall. The line just needs to be ran to the battery under the hood. I have never turned the CD player on, but I have no reason to believe that it doesn't work. I am sure that it works fine.
As you can see, the builder chose to block off the panel to the spare tire well. I have the trim pieces should you wish to add that panel back. I also have a set of stainless rocker guars and two fender bird trim pieces that will go with the car
I am not a dealer. I buy and sell vintage cars as a hobby. I am selling this Nomad because I am moving and will not have room to keep it indoors. The previous owner spent nearly 80K on this car, but my reserve is WAY below that. Please ask questions before you bid. I am not interested in any trades, so please don't ask. I have a clear Texas title in hand. I will expect full payment within 72 hours of the end of the auction and I can store the car indoors until you arrange shipping or you can fly in and drive it home. I have the car listed locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I will only accept a bank draft or certified bank check. There is no warranty expressed, implied or otherwise. Don't let this one get away. I don't expect the auction to last very long. Thanks for your interest.

Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
