1956 Chevy Belair four door, this car is the classic "SLEEPER", with a great sounding exhaust tone that can only come from a Big Block Chevrolet. Yep, under the mild mannered plain Jane wrapper lurks a very menacing piece of big chevy iron, with alum coated headers, cross over X pipes and dual mufflers.
The color is Sierra Gold and Adobe Beige, just as the trim tag calls for, the interior is Beige and Copper and is in excellent condition with the correct bench seats front and rear.
This car is a fantastic sleeper, runs nice, mild mannered and parking lot friendly, because it has power steering it's easy to move that iron around, my wife can drive it.
Car looks good, sounds good and goes good. It has a new turbo 400 with a new 3500 stall speed converter, floor shifter, tach, gauges, idles with a nice lumpy sound. Interior is excellent, everything in place, all doors work, glass has no cracks or chips, stainless is very good to excellent. Paint is very good to excellent, has 4 wheel durm brakes, single master cyl, was going to replace that and put disc brake kit on. Carpet is nice, clean, no rips or stains, dash completed, no holes. Bumpers are wonderful nice chrome, gas tank seal / filler door works and no leaks.
This is a no reserve auction, the car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction should car sell local. If you have less than 10 bids, contact me before bidding or I'll have to cancel. Please bid what you can afford, this is an auction for sale of the car, not for the right to inspect. Please call and email to come see and test drive the car, if your shipper needs help, I will assist to get it loaded for you.

GM slashes prices in China as sales falter
Thu, May 14 2015Buying a vehicle from General Motors' stable of brands might be a lot cheaper in the near future – at least for customers in China. The effort comes as GM hopes to keep sales there growing, and the decision alludes to yet another sign that the Asian country no longer has the booming auto market of past years. GM and its Chinese joint venture partner SAIC are slashing prices by as much as the equivalent to $8,700 on 40 models from Buick, Chevrolet, and Cadillac, according to The Detroit News. Across all of automaker's nameplates, the overall sales dipped in China in April by 0.4 percent to 258,484 vehicles. Among the drops, Buick was down 8.5 percent, and Chevy shrunk 5.6 percent. Caddy's numbers increased 4.6 percent for the month, though. Buick remains a popular brand in the minds of Chinese consumers, but according to The Detroit News domestic automakers there are starting to eat into the dominance of foreign companies in the market. The country remains important for GM, though. Late last year, it outlined a future strategy that included China as a major pillar, including a $14 billion investment to build five new factories and boost sales. Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs
Thu, 03 Jan 2013General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum. Stolen '57 Chevy Returned To Owner After 30 Years
Fri, Feb 21 2014Three decades after it was stolen, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been returned to a Northern California man - in better shape than when he originally owned it. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports Ian "Skip" Wilson was shocked to get a call from the California Highway Patrol informing him that his long-lost Chevy was taken off an Australia-bound cargo ship. The 65-year-old says the car has had a lot of work done on it since it disappeared from his Lake County home in 1984. It was returned with a monogrammed interior, 17-inch racing wheels, rack-and-pinion steering and a 350-horsepower V-8 engine. The retired mechanic says the two-door was in sorry shape when he bought it for $375 in 1975 with plans for fixing it up.
