You are viewing a professionally and freshly built Pro Street 55 2 door wagon.  The build started in 2007 and finished in mid 2008.  The wagon has been completed for approximately 3 years with 6,500 miles since the wagon was finished.  The wagon is very fresh and well kept looking like it was just completed a year ago.  Built for the street the wagon is an original 210 wagon built to look like a 150.  The wagon started off as a very solid body in good condition with minimal rust.

Please read on for more particulars of the car:

Body/Paint:  The body was soda blasted and primed from the start.  Replaced headlight cowls, driver’s side floor pan.  Firewall has been recessed 4 inches and smoothed.  Tubbed custom inner wheel wells, all steel that have been raised and widened.  All steel custom outside wheel wells.  Nicely done and looks uniform.  10 point custom roll cage started as an Art Morrison design. From the back of the front seat is custom flooring to the back of the wagon.  Custom hood cut out for the blower with body shaved.  Paint is PPG Silver metallic base/clear.  The wagon has numerous primer coats with lots of blocking.  Paint was wet sanded and buffed to a smooth and high gloss.  Pin stripping with flames grey and red cleared over.  The custom stripping alone was 3K.

Interior:  Sound deadener applied throughout the wagon including the firewall.  The interior is very well insulated.  Red leather on seats and rear panels.  Headliner and door panels are high grade vinyl.  Carpet is gray high grade Mercedes Benz type loop.  The back portion of the wagon has two storage containers to hold the battery and the other for storage.  RCI 5 point harness, Custom Rod gauges, Moon fire extinguisher, JVC stereo with 4 speaker system, 300 Watt amplifier, I didit tilt steering column, Billet wheel.

Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
