Transmission: '89 Chevrolet 200-4R Automatic Overdrive, Fresh Filter, Fresh Fluid, Floor Shifter, New Driveshaft, New U-Joints, Custom Crossmember Mount
Front Suspension: Stock Front IFS, lowered coil springs, rebuilt front brakes, rebuilt front suspension, new bushings, new control arm pins.
Rear Suspension: GM 8.5" 10-Bolt from 2nd gen Camaro, stock '53 leaf springs, 1" lowering blocks
Body: Clean original body, decklid smoothed, pass door handle shaved, never completed drives side. Hood peak started but not finished. Has some minor rust on rear lower quarters and panel below decklid, as well as front floor pans, but easy fix. No rust anywhere else. Have all trim pieces including extra pieces. Taillights are '54 chrome bezels with aftermarket Lee bubble lenses. Headlights are original bezels and new headlights.
Interior: Original bench seats, recovered in the 90's with blue fabric/velour, looks decent. No carpet, headliner is original and needs to be replaced but have all bows, no door panels, but have door panel trim pieces, arm rests, and backer panels to be recovered or used as pattern. Have misc Bel-Air interior trim pieces to dress up the interior as well. Chrome garnish moldings in driver quality, dash is complete minus radio, have ashtray and glovebox. Complete instrument cluster. Stewart Warner fuel level gauge works. Good clean original glass throughout, only vent windows show age, all glass rubber in decent shape. Door hinge pins rebushed and open & close nicely.
Wheels/Tires: Stock 15"x6" Steel Wheels with chrome "spacer" caps. BF Goodrich 6.70-15 Bias Ply Wide White Wall Tires in great shape. Not many miles, but are showing age from sitting.
Misc: New Brass/Copper Aftermarket Radiator, New Hoses, New Belts, New Fluids, Oil Filter Relocation Kit, Dual Reservior Master Cylinder under floor, lots of extra parts. Have all bumpers, trim, extra front grille, misc trim pieces, all fasteners, all factory removed parts and extras.
Other: The alternator was robbed off this car and used on another vehicle, it was a Delco 10si, I might have another one I will toss in if I can find it. The brake master cyl was removed to fit new hoses and never reinstalled, two bolts and the hoses and it's done. It has speed bleeders on the front brakes for one-man bleeding. The oil filter relocation kit was to clear the stock '89 exhaust manifolds and was never mounted permanent, it could easily be mounted, or removed as the filter clears the manifolds fine. The exhaust was never hooked up to the manifolds. Was planning to build custom headers and a new exhaust system altogether, but didnt get that far. Easy to connect the pipes to the manifolds. The manifolds are original '89 with smog ports that were welded up, I have a set of identical manifolds without the smog ports that look better but are not installed. The firewall was smoothed, air vents left intact and they do work. Headlights, Taillights, Brake Lights, and Ignition all work. Car will need a new battery. I will include all extra parts and pieces I have for this car.
This is an easy project and can be put back on the road with a weekend of tinkering. Finish the body & paint and toss the interior back in and have a fine custom car that can be driven anywhere.
This car was a stalled project. In 2007 it got the engine/trans installed, rebuilt suspension, wiring, etc etc etc, and was running & driving in 2008, but never saw more than a few miles to work out the bugs. It got put on the backburner to work on other projects and has sat undriven since then, but was started every couple of months since. It has always been stored indoors, hasn't spent a night outside since we got it in 2007. This was an Oklahoma car, so the body is in decent condition. The title is a clear Oklahoma Title.
I'm sure I am forgetting things, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask via messaging and I will reply ASAP.
The car is located in North Austin, Texas. Will need to be towed away. No refunds, no returns, sold as-is.
**************************PHOTOS OF EXTERIOR WERE TAKEN WHEN THIS CAR WAS PULLED OUT OF MY SHOP THE DAY I MOVED, IT WAS PUT INTO THE NEW GARAGE ON THE SAME DAY. PLEASE EXCUSE THE DUST. I WILL TAKE NEW PHOTOS IN THE NEXT DAY OR SO AND WILL UPDATE THIS AD WITH THEM ASAP, THANKS.*****************************

Weekly Recap: Geneva's splendor reflects growing demand for ultra-luxury cars
Sat, Mar 7 2015Geneva is one of the most glittering auto shows in the world, but the list of high-powered and bespoke luxury cars was decadent this year even by the rich standards of the Swiss exhibition. It's great for enthusiasts to revel in the flame-throwing Aston Martin Vulcan, the racing-inspired elegance of the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 concept and the insane performance of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce, but there's a reason for all of this opulence: the luxury market is big business. And it's growing. IHS Automotive forecasts that so-called ultra-premium sales will nearly triple this decade from 123,000 to 353,000 units around the world. The estimate includes brands like Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari and Rolls-Royce, but doesn't count BMW, Mercedes and Audi, which offer less expensive models in addition to their high-end flagships. Though IHS includes Porsche and its relatively large volume in the study, the ultra-premium segment is still set grow at about the same rate, even without the German automaker's figures. So what is propelling all of this growth in the most expensive segment of the auto industry? Put simply, there's more rich people. IHS Automotive principal analyst Tim Urquhart pointed to economic expansion in China, market recovery in the United States and a surge in the lucrative technology sector as contributing factors. This dovetails with a research report by UK-based Oxfam, an international relief organization, which found the world's richest one-percent owned 48 percent of global wealth in 2014, and it's expected to increase to more than 50 percent by 2016. View 17 Photos Carmakers are moving quickly to capitalize with new products, expanding their portfolios with low-volume speedsters like the 800-hp V12 Vulcan at Geneva, and plans to enter new segments, like Rolls-Royce's strategy to make an SUV. "Ultra-premium carmakers are looking to explore ways of growing their product offerings, and thus their bottom lines, in this most potentially profitable of segments," Urquhart wrote in a report on the Geneva show. In a nutshell, there are more choices for people with more money. It's a good time to have expensive taste. Other News & Notes 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata production launches It won't be long now. The USPS needs 180,000 new delivery vehicles, automakers gearing up to bid
Wed, Feb 18 2015Winning the New York City Taxi of Tomorrow tender was a huge prize for Nissan, even though the company is still working through the process of claiming its prize. The United States Postal Service has begun the process to take bids for a new delivery vehicle to replace the all-too-familiar Grumman Long Life Vehicle, and that will be a much larger plum for the automaker who wins it, perhaps worth more than six billion dollars. The Grumman LLV is an aluminum body covering a Chevrolet S-10 pickup chassis and General Motors' Iron Duke four-cylinder engine. The USPS bought them from 1987 to 1994, and the 163,000 of them still in service are a monumental drain on postal resources: they get roughly ten miles to the gallon instead of the quoted 16 mpg, drink up more than $530 million in fuel each year, and their constant repair needs like the balky sliding door and leaky windshields have led the service to increase the annual maintenance budget from $100 million to $500 million. A seat belt is about as modern as it gets for safety technology, and the USPS says that assuming things stay the same, it can't afford to run them beyond 2017. Last year it put out two triage requests for proposals seeking 10,000 new chassis and drivetrains for the Grumman and 10,000 new vehicles. The LLV is also too small for the modern mail system in which package delivery is growing and letter delivery is declining. The service says it doesn't have a fixed idea of the ideal "next-generation delivery vehicles," but it listed a number of requirements in its initial request and is open to any proposal. Carriers have some suggestions, though, saying they want better cupholders, sun visors that they can stuff letters behind, a driver's compartment free of slits that can swallow mail, and a backup camera. The request for information sent to automakers pegs the tender at 180,000 vehicles that would cost between $25,000 and $35,000 apiece, and it will hold a conference on February 18 to answer questions about the contract. GM is the only domestic maker to avow an interest, while Ford and Fiat-Chrysler have remained cagey. Yet with a possible $6.3 billion up for grabs and some new vans for sale that would be advertised on every block in the country, we have a feeling everyone will be listening closely come February 18. We also have a feeling the LeMons series is going to be flooded with Grummans come 2017. News Source: Wall Street Journal, Automotive News - sub.
Chevrolet Camaros at SEMA are a mobile accessory catalog
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Chevy's goal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week seems to be to show as much of its Performance and Accessories catalog as possible. That's why it brought three different Camaros - two with V8s and one powered by a V6 - with all of the best goodies from the catalog already fitted.
We gave a more in-depth recap of the Performance Camaro V8 Concept, the Performance Camaro V6 Concept and the Performance Garage Concept already, but we figured you'd like a short recap for each. It should be noted, though, that you can order all of the items you see here for your own Camaro, so be sure to take a long, hard look at our live galleries, just in case you're in the market for some mods.
Essentially, the Performance Garage Concept and the Performance V8 Concept are the same car - the only difference is that the later features a whole host of aesthetic tweaks in addition to its aftermarket, shorty exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust. (The Performance Garage Concept has been usefully placed on its side; the better to see the new parts added to the vehicle.) The Performance V6 Concept is notable because, despite being a V6, there's no shortage of performance goodies fitted. All three of the Performance Camaros benefit from items from the Camaro ZL1, which can also be ordered through the catalog.
