UPDATE: 10/4/2013
I will be back in Fort Wayne on 10/17/2013 to 10/20/2013 to sell the car. I will not ship the car unless you arrange for it to be picked up during the time period aforementioned and pay for shipping on your own. I will only accept cash or bank certified cashier's check. If you're interested in it, please shoot me a text, or your bid may be disallowed to avoid incurring eBay fees for a false sale.
On 9/19/2013, the low oil pressure light came on. I have stopped driving it in case it's not just a sensor. This light is new and I did not want to harm the car. Still runs and drives, but this light has caused me to drop the price in case it does need a new oil pump or other engine work. My loss is your gain as always with these things.
I traded my baby, a 2006 Mustang GT Convertible for this because I needed the money for school and thought I would love having a car that gets good gas mileage and I didn't have to worry about getting door dings down at college. However, being spoiled with leather seats and a v8 engine has rotted me and I frankly don't like this car. I just want it gone as I already have a truck to move down to school with and don't want this car anymore. GO Hoosiers!
Feel free to contact me to come out and look at it, I just want it out of my driveway at this point as the mother doesn't want a car taking up driveway space while I'm not at home. I leave next Wednesday so this needs gone today.
Good:
LS Model Trim
Daytime Running Lights
Ice Cold A/C
Devil's Spitfire Heat
Good MPG's!!!
Lightweight & Nimble
AM/FM Stereo
Cloth Interior
Low Miles, only 88k
Comes with all original owners manuals, etc.
Recent Maintenance:
- Rebuilt Engine in 2010 (Lakeside Chevy in Plymouth)
- New Tires
- Standard Oil Changes/Wiper Replacements/Flushes/etc.
Bad:
Dent in drivers door
Missing Gas Cap (Just the outside shell piece)
No Power Options
Due for oil change in ~900 miles
Has low oil pressure light that intermittently comes on. I have stopped driving it in case it's not just a sensor. this light is new and I did not want to harm the car. Still runs and drives, but this light has caused me to drop the price in case it does need a new oil pump or possible engine work. I do not know.
If you're interested, I encourage you to contact me with any questions or concerns. This car was used by a young lady in college and maintained by her parents, so while the cosmetics have a few dents and scratches, it appears the mechanicals were kept in order. As always, it's sold AS-IS, I just need this gone to move back to college as I have a truck. I do reserve the right to end the auction and sell the car locally.

Chevy Volt 'acceptable,' Nissan Leaf 'poor' in new IIHS safety tests
Thu, Jul 31 2014Ford C-Max Hybrid also scored "acceptable" rating. With US Nissan Leaf sales up almost 30 percent during the first half of the year, the only thing that might be able to stop the battery-electric vehicle is a good, stiff barrier. Unfortunately, thing's aren't always pretty when that happens in the real world, according to new tests from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Things with the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in are a little bit rosier, though. The two plug-in vehicles were part of a batch of a dozen vehicles that just went through the IIHS's "small overlap" test, in which the driver's side front corner of the vehicle is crashed into a rigid barrier at 40 miles per hour. Out of the dozen, only the Mini Cooper Countryman was given a "good" rating. Five vehicles, including the Volt and the Ford C-Max Hybrid, were rated "acceptable," two were "marginal" and two, including the Leaf, were "poor." Plug-in vehicles are unique in the crash-test context because of their relatively large battery sizes. In the Volt's case, the driver had a "low risk" of injury, said the IIHS. But the Leaf's crash substantially pushed back the instrument panel and steering column, creating a scenario where the driver was "likely" to sustain leg injuries. The batteries in both the Leaf and the Volt passed safety tests specifically targeted at things like thermo and electrical properties and overall integrity. "Nissan is proud of the Leaf's 'Good' rating in all other IIHS tests, a 4-star NCAP rating from NHTSA and its IIHS Top Safety Pick rating in all previous years since the car's release," the company said in an e-mail sent to AutoblogGreen. "As for the performance of the 2014 Leaf in the 'small overlap frontal test,' Nissan will continue to review these and other results from the IIHS 'small overlap frontal test' as we seek opportunities for improvement." Check out the IIHS's press release and small car crash-test video footage below. Range of ratings: Small car ratings run the gamut in challenging small overlap front test The Mini Cooper Countryman is the only small car to earn a good rating among the latest group of 12 cars subjected to the Institute's small overlap front crash test. Two electric models and a hybrid also are in the mix, with varied results. The electric-powered Chevrolet Volt (with a gasoline engine "range extender") earns an acceptable rating, while its battery-electric rival, the Nissan Leaf, earns a poor rating.
Next-gen Chevy Volt gets Corvette looks, adjustable regen levels
Sat, Dec 20 2014The hood may say "full speed ahead." The regenerative braking system says "slow down a bit." One person's automotive improvements is another's identity crisis, all in a day's work analyzing the new Chevrolet Volt. The next-generation version of General Motors' first extended-range plug in will include design touches taken from to the new Chevrolet Corvette, GM's iconic sports car. Hexagonal taillights and a "taut" hood will be part of the new package, Automotive News says, citing General Motors design chief Ed Wilbur. But does that mean the Volt is shedding any of its green-car cred? Not at all, if one considers that the Volt will also let the driver adjust the degree of regenerative braking using steering-wheel paddles to dial up and recapture as much energy as possible and engage in "one-pedal" driving or turn it down for easier coasting. Check out the 55-second video below featuring GM executives Mark Reuss and Andrew Farah trying out the Volt's new regenerative-braking system that was first used on the Cadillac ELR. GM will have more details for us when it unveils the 2016 Chevy Volt at the North American Auto Show in Detroit next month. The new version is said to have a larger battery, a longer all-electric driving range and more power, but Chevy's been fairly mum on those sorts of performance details so far. Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]
Tue, 19 Mar 2013This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
