2 Owner truck. I purchased it from a friend in 2004 with 4,000 miles and have been the sole driver since then. NON SMOKER VEHICLE. Never smoked in or had a smoker in it. OPTIONS: LEATHER DUAL ELECTRIC FRONT SEATS WITH HEAT SIDE AIR BAGS BOSE STEREO WITH FACTORY SUB-WOOFER MOON-ROOF REAR SEAT DVD WITH WIRELESS HEADSETS DUAL DIGITAL HVAC ADJUSTABLE ROOF RACK 410 GEARS WITH HD TRANS HD REAR WITH LEAF SPRINGS HYDRAULIC POWER BRAKES (3/4 TON) 8.1 BIG BLOCK (roughly equivalent to 496) ELECTRIC TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER The 2500 only came as a 4 wheel drive with the 8.1 big block. The tow rating is in excess of 12,000 LBS when equipped this way. It is a true 3/4 ton truck with a heavier frame, leaf springs instead of coils, hydraulic power brakes rather than vacuum etc. I have only used it as daily transportation and occasional towing under 7,000 lbs. No boat ramps. The truck was kept in a heated garage. The body, paint and interior all in excellent condition. All options work as designed. (couple small door dings and a very thin scratch on the tailgate) I have never had any breakdowns or problems with this truck. As it is a 3/4 ton and I wasn't beating it, everything lasts that much longer. I am selling only because I have a new truck coming and really can't justify 2. (although I would love to keep the avalanche also if I had more garage space) The truck is located in zip 08225. Near Atlantic City NJ. (No I'm not in a flood area. Next-gen Chevy Volt will get 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine
Tue, Oct 28 2014As General Motors gets ready to unveil the new Chevy Volt at the Detroit Auto Show in January, it's starting to reveal a few more details about the updated plug-in hybrid. Today should be fruitful on that front, thanks to an event GM is hosting today that focuses on the new Volt, and we've just had the first bit of new: a bigger engine is coming. Since the beginning, the Volt has used a 1.4-liter, four-cylinder engine as a range extender when the battery runs dry. The second-generation model will instead get a slightly larger 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that will be built in Flint, MI. That's a step up from the various engines that have been a part of the 2016 Volt's rumored mills, everything from a 1.0-liter or 1.2-liter three-cylinder to a 2.0-liter turbo. The confirmation about the new 1.5-liter powerplant was found in Automotive News, where we also heard again that GM is going to start building the new Volt's electric drive unit in Detroit, moving production up from Mexico. We will have more information on the 2016 Chevy Volt later today.
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee teases return with a Countach
Fri, May 29 2015Unless you have an intense aversion to Jerry Seinfeld, it's hard not to find something to like about his show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. After all, the series combines funny people telling often hilarious stories while riding in ridiculously cool vehicles. The trailer for the sixth season is now online, and based on this tease, this definitely looks worth watching no matter what part of the videos interest you. Of course, it's the automotive portion that really grabs us, and Seinfeld has quite a fleet to showcase for season six. The trailer shows off a Lamborghini Countach, a '57 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible, a classic Volkswagen Beetle in the green and white German Polizei livery, a Morgan, an Aston Martin DB5, and a Ferrari 308. On the more humorous side of things, the guest list at least includes Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jim Carrey, Steve Harvey, Stephen Colbert, Bill Maher and upcoming host of The Daily Show Trevor Noah. Season six of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee premieres on Crackle on Wednesday, June 3, at 11:30 PM ET.
Car and Driver reveals spy shots of mid-engine 2017 Corvette
Thu, Jan 8 2015Some news in the car world is perennial, and some is perennially wrong. Typically news about some upcoming mid-engined Chevy Corvette has fallen into the latter category, with rumors never yet generating a road car. This time could very well be different. Car and Driver has some exclusive photographs of what would appear to be a Corvette test mule with a mid-mounted engine. The car in question might look like a Holden SSV ute that's undergone some indelicate modification, but C/D editor Don Sherman assures that the bones of a C8 'Vette live within that crude bodywork. Sherman points to the closeness of the cabin to the front axle as clue number one of this car's mid-engine attitude, as well as the powertrain-sized space between the back of the seats and the rear axle. The roof and glasshouse are all clearly plucked from the current C7, and the gas tank filler positioned on the B-pillar is another huge clue. The buff book estimates that the mule points to a timeline for sale, even. Testing on this level could mean a mid-engined C8 ready for sale in as few as 20 months, or for the 2017 model year.
