MY RESERVE PRICE IS SET AT 19,200...

Im listing my 08 avalanche for sale as I have already purchased a new truck... I love this truck and its been the perfect vehicle for me, my only reason for sale is because I stepped up to a newer Escalade ext which is basically the same truck with some more features, that's how much I love these things. They are so versatile with they're unique midgate design and are great driving comfortable trucks!

This is a fully loaded flexfuel model z71 4x4 5.3l vortec engine, with offroad package which has the better shocks and wider flares as well as a locking differential, it includes heated seats, moonroof, titanium interior trim and the awesome black with brown leather inserts for upholstery, it looks very nice and i get compliments on it all the time. I haven't seen another one with it and its a factory option!

I have installed a few aftermarket modifications which include rear air bags that can be filled and deflated via a valve stem in the gas filler area. The bags go inside the coil spring to support the rear end when towing any loads. Ive also added a 2.5" leveling lift kit, 22" Denali replica wheels, completely blacked out all of the silver and chrome trim, grilles, and rear lights with professionally installed vinyl, installed HID lighting for the headlights, foglights as well as LEDs to replace all of the factory interior lights and LEDs for the reverse, license plates, DRLs, etc, and also installed and entire LED puddle lamp kit around the vehicle so when you hit unlock they come on and illuminate the ground around it, looks really neat! There is also the high output front 32" LED light bar on the custom bracket for the front bumper which is BRIGHT!!! All the windows have been tinted and there was a volant cold air intake box installed as well as a custom black SLP exhaust tip. (truck is oem quiet with a little growl when you put your foot into it) I also have All Weather nice Weathertech molded floor mats installed and the carpet underneath is MINT! There is a Kenwood double din cd/dvd/xm/backup camera installed as well as wiring ran for if you decide to add an amp and sub or whatever youd like.

I am the second owner and it comes with a clean title! The carfax is one of the cleanest i have seen, the original owner bought it at burien chevrolet in burien washington and meticulously maintained it with oil changes and services on the mark every 3-4k miles as listed on the carfax! Ive never seen a cleaner one! With that said this truck does have 136xxx mostly highway miles, the original owner drove to and from Portland Oregon frequently. Dont let the miles scare you, besides some normal wear and tear on the outside for its mileage, the interior is literally flawless and is a very rare oem black on brown leather heated seats and all with no major wear spots, stains, rips, or anything. Still drives like a brand new truck!

I just had the truck professionally detailed and its ready for a new home please call or text me at 360-601-3373 with any other questions

Common Dodge Ram 1500 vs. Chevrolet Silverado breakdowns

Wed, May 4 2016

These two trucks are famous for their ability to get the job done. Still, even the toughest vehicle can have mechanical problems at some time. What if we match the Dodge Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado head to head? Let's find out more about common repairs for each model. Also, learn some tricks to pay for car repairs. Clunky Steering Both Dodge and the Chevy owners sometimes notice bumping and clunking when steering. This might be more noticeable when driving over bumps. The cause is usually different in each truck though. In the Dodge Ram, clunky steering is more likely due to a defective lower ball joint. Replacement costs around $300 - $400, parts and labor. Clunky Chevy Silverado steering is probably a steering rack failure. This problem appears more often in trucks with over 90,000 miles. Silverado steering rack repair will run you up to $1,000 or more. Starting Woes For the Chevy Silverado with over 130,000 miles, you might notice trouble starting. This problem may appear occasionally at first, but it typically gets worse. Excluding a weak battery, the culprit is usually the starter. Replacement will cost you around $330 - $500. Of the total cost, $90 is for labor only. Now the Dodge Ram might make a ticking sound when starting, especially on models with over 94,500 miles. The noise often disappears after the engine warms up. These symptoms may indicate a broken exhaust manifold. Repair costs range from $800 - $900. Burning Oil & Gas Gauge On The Blink Sometimes, the Dodge Ram burns oil much faster than normal. In models with over 125,000 miles, this often points towards a leaky intake manifold gasket. A knocking sound may also appear with acceleration along with possible engine misfire. The cost to repair is around $200 - $300. The Chevy Silverado has its own surprises, especially when you've filled the gas tank but the gauge still reads low. Or the needle fluctuates widely from low to full while driving. In trucks with over 120,000 miles, it's likely due to a faulty fuel sensor. You might need a full fuel pump replacement, which can cost you up to $820, parts and labor. Water Inside And Poor Heat The Ram 1500 rear window has been known to leak. You might notice the back seat and floor wet after a rainstorm. This is more common in trucks with over 65,000 miles. Resealing the Ram 1500 rear window costs around $150 - $250.

GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.

Chevrolet donates 300 vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Super Storm Sandy took out a lot of automobiles in its path of destruction through the Northeast last October. The number surpassed 250,000 at last count, and a few of those were owned by Chevrolet - cars either sitting on dealership lots or waiting at port to be shipped off. Rendered unsellable by the water damage inflicted by Sandy, these vehicles were facing the crusher. But Chevy didn't send them there.
Instead, Chevy had a better idea: It will be donating 300 of these vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders at Guardian Centers in Perry, GA. Chevy is the official automotive partner of Guardian Centers, which is an 830-acre facility that trains first responders in disaster preparedness. Junked cars are practically a consumable commodity there, where a full-size cityscape simulator gives trainees an entire urban center in which to train for all sorts of rescue operations and disaster scenarios.
Chevy says its particular vehicles will be used "in conjunction with role players for wide area searches, traffic congestion in emergency situations, counter terrorism, public order and mass casualty exercises." While grim scenarios all, we're certainly glad there are people out there preparing for the unexpected. While a zombie apocalypse isn't officially on the list of potential disasters to prepare for, when the virus hits, we'll be hot-footing it to Perry, GA to hang with these guys and gals.
