2004 Chevy Astro AWD cargo van with 154,504 miles. It has A/C, power  windows and door locks, keyless entry, cruise, am/fm factory radio, cloth seats, tinted rear cargo glass, V6  4.3 motor and AWD.

I bought the van in July 09' and it had 90,900 miles on it. I am in construction and used it for the many tools I needed to have for day to day use.  The only reason I am selling it is because I needed a large van for the amount of tools I now carry.  This AWD is a "BEAST"  in the snow, it is almost unstoppable!! I was so impressed with the AWD that I sought after and got a Chevy Express 1500 AWD!I have changed the oil every 3-4,000 miles(see pic of record book). The pic shows all the maintenance that I have done since I acquired it.

Interior: The interior is in good shape.  No rips in seats, no cracks in dash, all power options work.  I installed a new "Bedrug Vantred" cargo mat and custom wood shelving when I got it.  I can remove the shelving if not needed.

Exterior: The exterior has some minor dings in sheet metal.  The passenger side front fender is damaged (see pic).  The fender was in this condition when I purchased it and hasnt changed (rust) in the four years that I have owned it.  The front bumper has a crease in it that was also there when I purchased it.

Issues: Windshield is cracked and needs replaced (Safelite $325.00)  Check engine light stays on more than off, mechanic says its due to 02 sensor ($70.00).  ABS light comes on intermittently.  It will pass MD inspection with ABS light on.  Its just when lit the ABS doesn't work, but the brakes work fine.  It will need new tires soon, I have two extra that will come with the van. A/C needs charged. Worked the first summer and I haven't used it since.

I would prefer local pickup.  If it needs to be shipped it is up to buyer to pay for shipping expenses.  I also have it for sale locally and reserve the right to stop auction at any time. I will accept PayPal, cashiers check or cash. A deposit of $500.00 needed to be payed within 48 hrs of sale and the balance within 7 days of the deposit. If you want to come and take a look at it, I'm available in the evenings and most weekends. You can email me through ebay for my cell number.

The Volt Dance had precedent; meet the Chevy Footlockers

Sun, Dec 14 2014

Marketing in the auto industry can get weird sometimes – really quite bizarre, in fact. For example, remember the Chevy Volt dance from the 2009 Los Angles Auto Show? If not, a group boogied to a song about the electric car, and it was every bit as awkward (and hilarious) as that sounds. In fact, that innocent bit of promotion lives in infamy, as some pundits grabbed hold of it during General Motors' bailout and asked why America's tax dollars were going to such things. The Chicago Auto Show has been digging through its vault of vintage videos, and it has come up with something that might actually be worse than that Volt-themed routine. They're called the Chevy Footlockers, and they're a dance troupe somehow promoting the Cavalier at the 1988 Chicago show. The connection between the car and their routine is unclear, but it's gloriously cheesy in a Chippendales-meets-AC Slater sort of way. Also, there are props towards the end, but we aren't going to spoil them for you, because you just have to watch for yourself. As a bonus, there's another (brief) clip below showing a female dance group with the Geo Tracker at the '91 Chicago show, and they sing, too. Scroll down to watch both of these oddities. 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray order guide hits the web

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

The official debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is only part of the excitement for fans of Chevy's virtuoso sportscar. Although we got to see the car and some of its preliminary specs in Detroit and Geneva, there is still no word on pricing and some of the juicier data points we've been waiting for - such as confirmed power output, EPA estimated mileage figures and performance numbers. Until then, CorvetteBlogger has gotten its hands on the order guide for the coupe version of the car - in both base and Z51 iterations - revealing tidbits like standard and optional features and available color combinations.
Some other new details made it onto the order guide, such as our first interior specs for the coupe including slightly less hip room and headroom, more shoulder room and the same amount of legroom. To see the full order guide, head on over to CorvetteBlogger. From what we can gather, it sounds like more information will be revealed on April 25 during a party at the Corvette Museum, and for those sun worshipers patiently waiting for a convertible, it would appear you've got another model year to wait through.

Porsche 911 tops a list of must-have classics, but No. 2 is more of a surprise

Wed, Aug 9 2023

No surprise here: In Europe, the Porsche 911 is the most sought-after classic car. Surprise here: Slip-streaming the 911 in the most sought-after chart compiled by the Car & Classic marketplace is the Ford Mustang. Using the Google search engine as a means to pick the winners, as well as the average prices achieved on the “Car and Classic” website, the venerable 911 was tagged 1.45 million times per month according to data stretching back 15 years. The number of 911Â’s sold though the C&C marketplace was 21,141, at an average price of 58,409 pounds, or $74,300. FordÂ’s pony car, still a popular choice for buyers in Europe, placed second on the list with 1.2 million monthly searches. The average sales price over 15 years was 31,107 pounds ($39,570), and the number of older Mustangs sold reached a total of 8,332. Models that also finished among the charted top 10 include the Land Rover Range Rover, the Corvette, the ultra-classic British favorite Jaguar E-Type and the BMW 3 Series. “Whilst a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS could set you back the best part of GBP500,000 ($636,000), there are many more affordable models, which bring the average sale price of a 911 on Car & Classic to GBP58,000 ($73,800) – the third highest average selling price of any make and model on the site,” explained Dale Vinten of Car & Classic. According to the site, the Jaguar fetched the highest average selling price: a whopping 89,000 pounds, or $113,000. But thatÂ’s peanuts compared to a Series 1 Roadster in excellent condition, said Vinten. For that, “you can expect to spend up to GBP250,000 ($318,000), A Series 2 or 3 will cost less, as they are not as desirable, but in decent condition you can expect to pay around GBP40,000-GBP50,000. Even a barn find 1969 E-Type Series 2 Roadster can set you back to the tune of GBP33,000 ($42,000)." Launched in 2005, Car & Classic is among EuropeÂ’s most popular classic car clearinghouses. It also runs a stand-alone auction site.
