The bodies were designed and built and then shipped by specially equipped Boeing 747's 56 at a time to Detroit where the bodies were then mated to domestically built chassis and engines. The cars were built from 1987-1993 with total production just above 21,000. 1992 was the lowest production number of just 2,000 being built that year. The price for this car in 1992 was a staggering $58,000 and was also hit with the gas guzzlers tax of $1300. This was also the last year for the multi-adjustable Recaro seating which was highly desirable. It has been very well maintained and cared for. It has never seen inclement weather and it shows very nice. This Allante has very low miles and is ready to go.
