I bought this from a lady who had a mad husband...she spent too much money on this thing. That is a rare occurance in nature. It is 99% the other way around. This is a real solid 1979 Scout with 105k original miles and has spent time in California then here in Washington. What is great about this one is she has SUPER working AC, a real nice and fully functional interior, A REAL NICE KENWOOD SOUND SYSTEM, a back up camera and runs so good. I would no hesitate to drive this anywhere. I already have a little.

 

The interior is real clean. The seats are original in the back and new up front but done to match the originals. All the gauges work as do all the lights, interior dash lights, blinkers and the very nice Kenwood sound system.There is an Alpine back up camera installed and viewed through the rear view mirror.

She has her original 304 (I do not think it is a 345) and the best part of this Scout is the the way she drives. She is a very turn key driver with no mechanical issues. The lady I bought her from went through this thing from stem to stern in the last year to make sure when she towed her cute little vintage trailer she would not be on the side of the road. She shifts perfectly and you can just get in and go and for a long ways.

 

The paint is the original factory black and has been repainted once in the 90's. She still has plenty of shine but as expected has some blemishes here and there but no dents or serious dings. The body is solid with a few spots here and there but abosolutely nothing major. There is no serious runs on this Scout. The under carriage is rock solid and the rear door has no rust issues in the corners. Tires are at 85%. She has two grills, the original and the one on her now. I was told it is from a Super Scout? Huh?

 

If you are looking for a Scout that has been set up to really enjoy then this is a perfect candidate. She is turn key and will give you years of enjoyment.
