The MGA represented a complete styling break and mechanical renovation of the older, T-type MG’s, offering better handling, better balance, and a simpler, more enjoyable driving experience. MGA’s have a fantastic racing history and, soon after their introduction, became the emblem of an iconic transition in British automotives towards more light-balanced, agile, performance-oriented cars that took over the roads and the race-tracks in the 1960’s. 

This 1958 MGA Roadster is a beautiful example of exactly what a vintage car should be – clean lines, well-kept components and mechanicals, great visual presentation, and fantastic to drive. The British Racing Green paint presents very well on this model. The interior and top are really what make this car wonderful – they are in unusually good shape and the colors couldn’t be better, or more classically British. Aesthetically, the car is in excellent shape overall, with driver-quality finish that has some minor imperfections, but which still shows very well. Please note that not all the imperfections may show in the pictures, but we will be happy to go over any specific areas and explain anything you’re concerned about over the phone or by email.

Mechanically speaking, the car is very nice. It makes great oil pressure and shifts well, though you must be careful not to downshift too aggressively, as that may cause the second gear’s syncromesh to chirp. When driving normally – even if normal is a little bit on the edge – the car runs and drives very well, with no issues. It tracks and brakes in a straight line and does not grind between gears.

This is an excellent opportunity to own a high quality MGA - if you’re looking for something fun and vintage to drive, but you don’t want the hassle, this is an excellent option.
