Up for auction is a 1971 Buick GS350. This car was 1 of only 358 factory 4-speed cars built in 1971. I have the complete owner history from day one and all of the original paperwork and documents including the Protect-O-Plate and a partial build sheet. It is a numbers matching car and it is a very collectible car. The car was driven to 26 shows since 2010 and the car can be driven anywhere right now. Its dependable and a pleasure to drive… After all, it’s a Buick! Fast with Class!

Owner History:

1^st Owner—Walter Hayes, 19 Freemont Ave., New York. Purchased new at Gaylen Buick in Union, New Jersey on 1/21/1971.

2^nd Owner—Kenneth Laird, Tucson Arizona. Purchased car from the original owner with 61,305 miles.

3^rd Owner—Carry Gross, Glendale, Arizona. Purchased with 100,400 miles on 9/1994.

4^th Owner—Marvin and Karin Howard, 400 Pleasant Ave. N, Annandale, MN. Don’t have purchase date or miles, but they bought it for their daughter who didn’t like it. They kept it garaged until owner #3, Carry Gross purchased it back.

5^th Owner—Gary Tapocsi, 1779 Heathrow Dr., Cookeville, TN. Purchased car from Cary Gross in 2003 with 124,xxx miles.

6^th Owner—James Anderson, Appling GA. Purchased on 4/19/2010 with 128,473 miles. I got it from him with the current mileage of 133,623. I don’t count because I’m a dealer… ha-ha

The paint is 20 years old and was the 1 and only re-paint. I buffed & polished the paint and it really has a smooth finish with a nice shine as you will see in the pictures. However it does show its age with a few scratches and dings and it is not a trailer queen. The black vinyl roof is in very good shape with the exception of one spot that has a small tear; it was glued down tight and won’t be a problem. The chrome bumpers, the trim, and the bright work are all in nice condition and the glass and rubber seals are good. The tires have good tread life left. The wheels are in good shape however the inner black portion has flaked off a little. Overall the paint and body is very presentable and very capable of winning local shows and in fact it has many trophies and awards to its credit already.

The interior is absolutely immaculate! The dash is excellent and basically flawless as well as the seats front and rear. The door panels and the headliner are perfect. It has GS floor mats that look new. The package tray is perfect with a pair of 6x9 speakers in it. Honestly the interior looks like it is less than a year old with the exception of the carpet which has a little wear but you can’t see it under the mats. All of the gauges and interior lights work perfectly and the AC blows cold. It has a console Motor Monitor and that works too. The only thing that doesn’t work is the factory radio; however there is a hidden CD stereo under the driver’s seat. It has a new shifter ball but I do have the original black one in good shape. The interior is clean, comfortable, and it even smells ok. This car has never been abused on the inside for sure.

The engine is the factory 350 4-barrel and it starts right up and runs perfect. It is strong and it has been very well maintained and serviced as evidenced by a folder full of maintenance receipts that span back over the years. This car is dependable and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this car anywhere and I mean right now!

This is the kind of car that when you drive it you will absolutely fall in love with it. It rides, drives, handles, brakes, sounds, and is excellent in every way. It is a true pleasure to drive and to own and the new owner’s (# 7) are going to be very pleased. After all it’s a Buick!

VEHICLE MUST BE REMOVED FROM PROPERTY WITHIN 14 DAYS (30 days if shipping) OF AUCTION END OR STORAGE FEES WILL BE ADDED AT $30 PER DAY TO THE FINAL AUCTION PRICE.
