1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Custom T-Top Coupe. Excellent! SEE VIDEO.

1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Custom T-Top Coupe.

Listed on behalf of the owner.

Purchased new in late-1976 from Weiler Chevrolet in Oregon City, Oregon; the first owner had this loaded Monte Carlo customized with the addition of a T-Top by Trim Line Auto Upholstery of Portland. The work done was first class as the photos show. Removable smoked glass panels were fitted into the professionally re-fabricated top.

The car was sparingly driven by the first owner who, in a weak moment, sold the car to a lady in the Portland area. After her several years of limited use, the original owner bought the car back from her and he has kept it to this day. Total actual mileage is just 48,106.

Recently, the owner spent $6,000+ on a complete ulta-high-quality base/clear repaint of the car in original black color. The finish is stunning. Beautiful, deep shine. The panel fit is excellent. Original chrome and stainless is exceptional. Also new BF Goodrich radial TA tires ($600+) were fitted to the period rallye wheels. A spare set of chromed wire wheels (in excellent condition) that were previously on the car are included in the trunk.

The original interior is in excellent condition. Please see photos. Car has manual windows and is highly optioned with working factory air conditioning, power door locks, remote trunk release, cruise control, tilt steering wheel and tinted glass. Newer stereo system. This car has the factory landau vinyl top option in good condition with just a few inches of separation at the rear seam after 37 years.

Mechanically, this car is excellent (as you would expect from a 48,000 mile original.) This has the large 305 cubic inch, 350 horsepower V8. Rated top speed of 117 mph. 0-60 mph in 12.1 secs. Runs well with no smoke or issues. Turbo Hydramatic automatic transmission. Engine bay is neat and well detailed. See video of engine running.

In the late '70's there was nothing sexier than a T-Top Coupe. This is a very nice looking and driving second-generation Monte Carlo that with the T-Top is certainly unique. A realistic reserve has been placed on the car in keeping with its quality and low original mileage. Please bid accordingly.

WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS WORLDWIDE.
