Up for auction is my 1983 Jeep CJ7 Renegade. This Jeep was professionally frame-off, every nut & bolt, restored in 2004. The restoration was completed with the best of everything available and this is an awesome CJ7! It has been garage kept, pampered, and protected since that time and it currently has only 8,645 good weather miles. I have a complete set of pre… and during restoration pictures also.

Paint & Body:

The body is all original steel. This CJ was a solid rust free Jeep to begin with and I do have the pre-restore pictures that shows it. The body was taken off the frame and the paint was stripped down to the bare metal. The Jeep was then prepped, primed, block sanded, and finally painted with base coat and several coats of clear resulting in the absolutely drop dead gorgeous paint and body that it is today. The paint is Deep Maroon Metallic and it is as slick as glass with a polished mirror finish that looks like a piece of candy. It looks to be a foot deep and it is smooth. The stripe package is correct 1983 Renegade in light/medium/dark Orange and it really pops and stands out. The stance is nice and level and perfect for a good riding CJ7.

Interior:

The interior is 100% restored as well. The inside of the rust free original (have original pictures) tub was sprayed with Semi-Gloss colored Line-X. The wiring is all new from Painless Wiring. The front seats are High Back Spice Denim with matching rear tumbler seat; all with seatbelts. It has a Tuffy locking center console with a JVC CD/WMA/MP3 head and a MTX Audio Road Thunder Amplifier in it. There is a pair of Infinity Speaker boxes mounted on the side of the back cab. The stereo sounds great. It has a Grant steering wheel with tilt column and the horn does work. It has ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING… it has a B&M floor shifter, Auto Meter gauges including a Street Tach, and stainless windshield release knobs, grab bar, and glove box door. The 4x4 shifter is also in the floor and it works great. It also has matching roll bar pads, sun visors and three tops. Most of the nuts & bolts are stainless.

Engine:

The motor is a new Jasper Performance crate 350ci V8. (Chevy)…

JASPER has been building engines and transmissions since 1942. The Jeep runs fantastic. It is dependable and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this Jeep across the country…right now! It has a nice sounding cam and the motor is balanced and built right. The motor has an Edelbrock aluminum intake with an Edelbrock 500cfm electric choke carburetor. It also has Edelbrock black semi-gloss valve covers, K&N air filter and assembly, Hedman polished stainless headers, serpentine belt system, AC, power steering, power disc brakes, new super radiator, and a new Duralast Gold battery. It is clean and show quality under the hood. The firewall, underside of the hood, and the fender wells were painted at the same time as the Jeep body and it is all slick. The hood rod and support rods are stainless. Very nice under the hood!

Undercarriage:

The underside is clean and neat, and it is solid, rust free and all original sheet metal. The frame was stripped to the bare metal and painted black. (I have a picture). Everything is basically new including new front and rear leaf springs with poly bushings, all new body bushings, new dual exhaust system, new stainless brake lines, new Spicer front and rear drive shafts (Florida Powertrain & Hydraulics, Inc.), new Pro Comp ES3000 shocks, Pro Comp ES2000 steering stabilizer, new AGR steering box, chrome rear & front differential covers, and new stainless fuel lines. Everything is very neatly ran and secured professionally. (No loose ends)… it has power front disc brakes and drum rear, and new Superwinch locking hubs.

The transmission is a new rebuilt Turbo 350.

The transfer case is a Dana 300.

It has the Dana 30 front and the AMC 20 rear axles.

Summary:

I don’t believe that you will find a nicer and a better performing and a better riding and handling CJ7 anywhere. I have bought and sold a lot of these CJ7’s over the years and this one is the best riding one that I have owned… It is a real pleasure to drive it and it’s the kind that you will be looking forward to your next opportunity to get in it and go somewhere and that’s a fact. The restoration was professionally done with no corners cut and the result is fantastic. There are a lot of pictures listed and they might take a few minutes to download. Don’t miss this one if you are in the market for a CJ7… it will satisfy you. The AC is cold and everything works excellent.

I could pick you up at the Augusta, GA airport or the Thomson, GA airport (small aircraft) on almost any day except Sunday. Fly here and drive it home…
