1956 Chevrolet Half Ton Pickup Show Truck Custom Pearl Blue with Pontiac V-8 Motor

I am pleased to offer this beautifully built 1956 Chevy half ton show pickup truck.  Great paint and interior, Pontiac 400cu in motor, great underside, etc. etc.  VIN # is 3A56L006808 and mileage is only 1174 miles +/- since the truck was built.  Read on for more details.

Few vehicles are more quintessentially American than the truck; and in the truck world, few names carry as much weight as Chevy. Some of the most loyal buyers in the market, Chevy Truck enthusiasts use their favorite models as work horses, show queens and everything in between. And despite rising fuel costs, this dedicated group continues to be one of GM’s largest fan bases. That comes as no surprise when you realize, at one point in time, GM sold so many Chevys, they considered the Chevy Truck brand a separate entity from Chevrolet cars. And with that in mind, it should come as no surprise that the market for classic Chevys is absolutely exploding!

This stunning 1956 Half Ton is a unique combination of time, talent and exceptional attention to detail. With its killer pearl blue paint, Pontiac V/8 engine and stylish custom leather interior, it’s the kind of top notch custom that’s guaranteed to make you weak in the knees!

Beginning life as a rugged icon, this super cool Task Force recently received a roof to rocker makeover, which transformed it from “everyday runabout” to “cruise-worthy show king”. Judging by the reflections in its straight and solid body, this pickup likely endured a rigorous combination of backbreaking work and calculated fine-tuning. As you can tell from our pictures, its vivid Blue Pearl is so dynamic, its presentation varies with light. The paint looks so deep and clear, it looks as if you could just jump right into the blue for a swim. And when you see this Half Ton in person, you’ll be amazed by the amount of depth and precision displayed throughout its entire build.

As expected, this awesome Chevy’s first rate detailing highlights both its solid form and stunning paint. At the front of the truck, a new ‘wide mouth’ grille rides between modern, headlights, stock-style parking lamps and a new chrome bumper. Above that grille, a Bel Air-inspired hood leads the eye to a desirable ‘large window cab’ that’s framed in fresh weather-stripping, bright stainless trim and high polished wipers. At the sides of that cab, ‘flow through’ bodylines combine with shaved emblems, beautiful new chrome doors and flush-fit door gaps to create a clean, uninterrupted profile. At the back of those lines, a spectacular oak wood bed is held down by spotless stainless skid strips, with an in-bed billet fuel filler.  At the back of that bed, an embossed tailgate centers stealth latches between the bed rail plugs, ‘blue dot’ taillights and a chrome license plate frame in the middle of the rear bumper.

Hoist this custom’s rolled hood and you’ll find a mean, 400 cubic inch Pontiac V8 that’s been completely finished for show and fully built to GO! At the top of that stout big block, a polished, custom-style air cleaner forces wind into dual coated Edelbrock carburetors that are juiced by a coated fuel pump, sleeved lines and a tightly braided hose. At the base of those carburetors, an aluminum Ram Air 4 Edelbrock intake hangs a high quality billet distributor between chrome Pontiac valve covers. At the base of those valve covers, fresh Summit Racing Street & Strip Taylor wires snake around coated shorty headers. And in front of those headers, attractive March pulleys spin a modern power steering pump between a chrome Powermaster alternator. Dual electric puller fans and a large polished aluminum radiator keep this V8 running cool. Aesthetically, both the Pontiac block color and its assortment of polished accessories seem right at home inside their roomy, satin black engine compartment. And details like a polished A/C compressor, a multiple polished pullies, and a polished overflow tank ensures this truck runs every bit as good as it looks.

Shimmy under this Chevy and you’ll find a clean, satin black undercarriage that, based on looks alone, appears to have led a quiet, accident-free life. The dressed 400’s power flows from a rebuilt Turbo 350 Trans to a fresh driveshaft, which twists a sturdy GM 10-bolt, with 3:73 rear gears. That familiar rear end pushes the truck on a triangulated 4-link Heidts rear suspension, which is equipped with adjustable coil-overs. Tracking is provided by a GM second gen “F” body front sub-frame, which comes complete with correct upper A-arms, and Heidts lower control arms. That sub-frame is frenched in beautifully to the original frame rails along with some trick lowering coils and parallel linkage power steering. Quick stops are a cinch thanks to power front and rear disc brakes. At the center of the truck’s floors, a 3-inch, true-dual exhaust system breathes through throaty dual-chamber mufflers. At the edges of those floors nothing looks better than the 17” Torque Thrust American racing wheels that throw torque through 225/50 ZR 17 fronts and 255/45 ZR 17 rear BF Goodrich radials. Everything from the truck’s custom aluminum built fuel tank to its fresh coil-overs and beefy front sway bar is well-planned, exceptionally executed and ready to work its magic!

But the show doesn’t stop there. Not by a long shot! When you pop this pickup’s doors, you’ll find a beautifully sculpted cockpit that features attractive leather seats. Top dead center, a smoothed and painted dash hangs a classy Dakota Digital instrument panel. Below the dash, a custom leather wrapped panel was made to hide the rest of the Vintage A/C system that was installed in this beauty. In front of that dash, firm, high-back bucket seats where attractive, gray leather that’s mimicked by both the truck’s tight headliner and streamlined door panels. Between those seats rests a stylish Lokar shifter between a modern Alpine CD player, and a nice set of speakers. When you want to roll down the window, who actually wants to physically “roll down” the window anymore? No one. So, the stock looking window crank handles act as power window switches – just push up or down on the handle and the window super magically rolls up and down. Under all that, fade-free carpet stays clean thanks to color-keyed floor mats. In front of the driver, a tilting steering column spins a custom steering wheel around a full set of billet pedals.

Our customer spent a lot of time and money creating this head-turning American half-ton pickup. And for the price, you’d be hard pressed to replicate its paint and bodywork alone. If you’re an opportunistic truck fan, this fully sorted Chevy is the perfect way to turn your goals into reality. Don’t miss this chance to own a super cool custom that can be driven comfortably and shown with pride!
