SPECIFICS / BUILD INFORMATION:

Rare!

Frame off restoration and customization of this 1971 Jeep Commando was completed last year! Only 1,000 miles since.

-Taken down to bare metal and professionally painted graphite grey. Two coats of primer, two coats of paint, and 4 coats of clear!

-Power Brakes.

-Fully rebuilt Buick 231 Even-Fire V-6. Fires right up, sounds amazing and runs even better. Rochester 2GC carburetor (Automatic Choke), HEI distributor, Heavy duty polished alternator,  High flow water pump, Manual fuel pump, and new spark plugs and wires. Engine can be setup to run fuel injection.

-Rebuilt TH400 Automatic transmission.

-Dual exhaust.

-Re-Cored Radiator.

-New poly 17 gallon tank with new sending unit and fuel lines.

-Disc brake conversion on front brakes. The brakes are powered by a new 70/30 master cylinder and a 10" power brake. Both calipers, discs, pads, and bearings are all new. On the rear brakes, both wheel cylinders and drums are also new.

-All u-joints have also been replaced on both drive shafts.

-Mild suspension lift

-Pro-Comp 1079 rims with bead-lock rings.

-Tires are 35x12.5x17LT Pro-Comp All Terrains.

-All lenses for lights have been replaced and are in working condition.

-Rhino-lined tub floor done right.

-All new interior and carpet. Seats were professionally upholstered with a light grey durable tweed fabric. Rear seat is original and matches front seats.

-Custom Sony cd player in dash and 3.5" Kicker two-way speakers in doors. Also has 2- 6"x9" three-way speakers mounted on the side panels behind front seat.

-All emblems in great shape and included (Rear emblem included but not installed).

-All rubber seals have been replaced except for hard top and front windows.

This 40 year old Vintage Jeep was only made for 5 years by the Kaiser Motor Corporation. This was the last production year of the Jeepster Commando. These have become very popular over the years and are getting harder to come by.

Nothing left to do. Turn the key and enjoy this vintage collectible.

We do not recommend driving a classic car home.

Old cars are just that, old cars. You need to ship it home. Out on the road, many miles from home is not the place to get familiar with your old car. Obviously we cannot stop you, but this is our recommendation.

Mileage is Exempt.

Unless we have some documentation we always sell classic cars as mileage exempt. That means we do not know the original miles. What we list in the ad is what the odometer currently reads or is based off rebuild information of the engine and or body/chassis. Also, you cannot do a Carfax or Autocheck on any VEHICLE older than a 1981.

You have to call us with any questions. If you email several questions we will tell you to call. If you are serious about buying a vehicle, you need to call us.

At our dealership we work very hard to accurately describe our vehicles through text descriptions and elaborate photos. When you purchase a pre-owned vehicle it is not a new vehicle.
