After the success of the Cloud and S series saloons, Rolls Royce wanted to introduce a new more modern up to date luxury saloon. Introduced on October 5, 1965, the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow and Bentley T-Series were unveiled at the Paris Salon Motor Show with rave reviews. The Silver Shadow was a limited production Saloon that used the familiar 6.75 litre V8 engine built by Rolls Royce. The new Silver Shadow was 3 and a half inches narrower and 7 inches shorter than the previous model but still managed to make more interior space for the passengers. The Silver Shadow II was redesigned for model year 1977 and ran until 1980 with just 8425 examples made worldwide. Many automobile journalists have said over the years that the Silver Shadow and T Series Saloons are amongst the best handling and most loveliest of the older generations of Rolls Royce and Bentley cars.

European Motor Studio is proud to offer this beautiful 1977 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II finished in a beautiful Silver Sand Metallic over Tan hides with Sandringham Beige Wilton Wool carpets. This beautiful Silver Shadow II left the Crewe production line in May of 1977 and was invoiced to North America. The car sold new to its first owner in Ontario Canada and has been in the care of just two prior owners and traveled only 44,715 miles from new. The car has been very well maintained by the dealership new and trained Rolls Royce technicians in recent years. The car has just gone through a full engine inspection and a complete tune up including plugs, fluids and a carb tune adjust and tune up. The beautiful original Silver Sand Metallic lacquer paint is in excellent condition and just starting to show very light inner paint delamination on top of the trunk and some on the hood. There are a couple of typical lacquer hairline cracks around the front windshield A pillars and C pillars in the back and a few tiny stone chips in the front nose and one scrape underneath the back rear bumper(a scrape NOT bubbling or rust). All of the chrome and trim are in excellent condition showing almost no wear or use at all and the period correct Firestone tires are almost new. All of the glass is in excellent condition and free from any pitting or cracking. The interior is in exceptional condition and the original Connolly leather hides show almost no wear or use anywhere. The leather dash top is in beautiful condition and free from any shrinkage or wear and the center console leather and armrests are also in excellent condition. All of the original chrome, trim and switchgear are in excellent shape and show almost no use or wear and the original Wilton Wool carpets are still in excellent shape and free from any major stains or wear. The wood veneer is in exceptional shape and looks almost new except for one tiny hairline crack that started on the passenger side door capping. The original wool headliner is still in like new condition and shows no damage or stains anywhere. All of the electronics in the car are in proper working order. All of the windows, seats, AC, heater, power aerial, radio, 8-track player, door locks, interior lights, headlights, brake lights, taillights, reverse lights, side marker light, turn signals, flashers and dash lights are all working as designed. The engine starts right up and riddles beautifully without any hesitation or smoke. The car shifts into gear with ease and does not clunk or grind and shifts through all of the gears without any issues. The suspension feels very nice and smooth and does not make any creaking noises or unusual sounds. The brakes have an excellent positive feel to them and they stop smoothly without any fade or unusual sounds. There are no signs of accident damage, corrosion or rust anywhere on the car. The car comes with its original owners manuals, warranty books and dealer books along with its original Rolls Royce case, Rolls Royce tool kit, jack and spare tire. The car comes with a clean and clear Box A actual miles AZ title.
