"The 1956 models were, according to the copy writers that year, the most inspiring motor cars the world has ever seen. The de luxe product catalog for 1956 is in fact a desirable collector's item. The styling of the 1956 models was quite similar to that of the previous year's models, with only minor detailing changes.  Principally, the grille took on a fine-mesh appearance and a fine chrome molding was added to the top surface of the rear fenders.  Gone was the Cadillac script on the front fenders; it was replaced with an elongated and gilded Cadillac crest; some models got their name in script in addition to that crest."

 For sale by owner is this beautiful 1956 Cadillac Coupe Deville. This is an older (in the 90's)  restoration done in Washington state with some recent mechanical improvements. Please let all the pictures load (there are over 120) to see the great condition of this rare classic Cadillac. Not a body off #1 trailer queen, but a beautiful combination of original with extensive cosmetic and mechanical restoration as needed. We don't know everything that was done over the years, the following is what we do know. The car was repainted, most of the exterior chrome and trim has either been replaced or replated, the interior is outstanding with new seat covers, carpeting, dash pad, headliner, visors and door panels. The undercarriage appears mostly original and is exceptionally solid and clean. The engine is the original rebuilt 365 V-8 with automatic transmission, power brakes and power steering. Nicely equipped with power windows, power seat, power antenna and air conditioning. The lights, signals, gauges, radio, heater, wipers, power windows, power seat and power antenna are fully operational. It looks and runs terrific and is sure to win some awards (has in the past) at your local car show.

Please remember that this car is 58 years old and not perfect. The paint has some visible stone chips touch ups, the a/c and horn are inoperable and the drivers side power window is temperamental.
