 Description

NUT SHELL DESCRIPTION: I have for sale a 1930 Model A Ford Sport Coupe. This is not a convertible, Henry Ford put a soft top  on them just to make it look good. I consider the car very solid, no rust problems, it runs very good, I think it drives good and stops fine for a Model A with mechanical brakes. The headlights work, the tail lights work, the brake lights work and the cowl lights work. The horn works, the speedometer is not working, the gas gauge works, the amp gauge works. The interior is not brand new, but good condition, the glass is good other than a hairline crack in the passengers window. The paint is old and wear, it has a dent behind the spare tire and is very cracked, "its old".

The tires have good tread and are not dry rotted. The engine is the original 4 cyclinder flathead, the VIN is the engine number.

HISTORY OF THE CAR: It lived in South Carolina, the owner passed away and his daughter got the car. She sold the car to a man that lives near Atlanta, Georgia. I do have a copy of the South Carolina title and the Georgia title of registration. The guy in Georgia bought the car to use in his daugter wedding and then sold it to me.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT THE CAR: I think its a very good car, no real rust problems, I think it runs good and mechanical is good, I love the Sport Coupe look, it looks like a convertible. I love the rumble seat and old horn sound. I think the paint is old and cracked, but its on a very good body. I think it would make lots of old men happy the way it is and others would want a perfect show car that cost a lot more.

GOOD STUFF ABOUT THE CAR:  Good body, good interior, runs good, most things work, good tires, the Sport Coupe is a fairly rare body style and I love the rumble seat. It is prices good for what it is!

BAD STUFF ABOUT THE CAR: Its not a new car, the paint is cracked, the bumpers a little dull, the top is faded some.

BOTTOM LINE: I has no interest in trades. My firm price is $10,999!!!!!!!!!!

If I do not sell the car I will do a cosmetic restoration and sell it fast for a lot more. I am a semi retired car restorer and have too many projects started or I would work on the car now. I work out of a large garage here at my home, but have Tennessee dealers license. The car will be transfered from me as a dealer,  you pay no tax unless you live in Tennessee.

WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Here in Athens, Tennessee 37303.

CAN I DRIVE THE CAR HOME? I never recommend driving a Classic Car home on a long trip. Reason being, I only do short test drives like a garage would, the cars are inventory not my personal car I have owned for years and learned to trust.
