THIS VOLKSWAGEN IS BEING SOLD "AS IS".

NEW STATE INSPECTION!

THIS VOLKSWAGEN RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD, BUT THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT IS ON.  IT IS PROBABLY AN O2 SENSOR BECAUSE THE ENGINE RUNS FINE, BUT WE HAVE NOT DIAGNOSED IT.  THE 5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY.

THIS CABRIO IS COSMETICALLY IN ROUGH CONDITION.  THE PAINT IS DULL AND THERE ARE SEVERAL CHIPS, SCRATCHES AND CRACKS IN THE PAINT AROUND THE CAR.  HOWEVER, THE ONLY REALLY BAD SPOTS ARE THE HOOD AND THE TRUNK WHERE YOU CAN SEE SIGNIFICANT CLEAR COAT DETERIORATION.  YOU CAN SEE PICS OF MOST OF THE PAINT/BODY ISSUES BELOW.

THE INTERIOR IS ROUGH LOOKING AT FIRST GLANCE.  HOWEVER, WITH A GOOD DETAILING AND NEW FRONT SEATS, IT COULD LOOK REALLY NICE INSIDE.  VIEW THE INTERIOR PICS AND SEE FOR YOURSELF.  THE LEATHER FRONT SEATS HAVE SEVERAL RIPS, TEARS, WORN SPOTS, AND DYE WEAR.  THE DRIVER'S SEAT WILL NOT LOCK INTO PLACE AND MOVES BACK AND FORTH FREELY. THE INTERIOR OTHERWISE WOULD LOOK PRETTY NICE ONCE CLEANED.

THE SOFT TOP HAS SEEN BETTER DAYS.  THE MAIN ISSUE IS THE SOFT IS COMING APART AT THE SEAM ON THE BACK RIGHT & LEFT SIDES BESIDE THE REAR SIDE WINDOWS.  YOU CAN SEE THE SEPERATING SEAM ON THE TOP IN THE PICS BELOW.

 THE A/C BLOWS COLD!

MOST OF THE POWER FEATURES WORK AS THEY SHOULD TO INCLUDE THE POWER WINDOWS, POWER LOCKS, POWER MIRRORS, STEREO, A/C CONTROLS, LIGHTS, AND GAUGES.  THE KENWOOD AUDIO SYSTEM SOUNDS NICE, BUT THE ANTENNA MAST IS BROKEN SO SOME STATIONS WILL NOT COME IN CLEARLY. THE POWER OPERATED CONVERTIBLE TOP DOES NOT WORK UNDER POWER, BUT YOU CAN STILL EASILY OPEN AND CLOSED THE TOP MANUALLY.

THE ALLOY WHEELS LOOK GOOD.  THE MATCHING SET OF TIRES HAVE ABOUT 20% TO 30% OF THEIR TREAD REMAINING.  THEY DID PASS STATE INSPECTION.

THIS CAR HAS A NEW VA STATE INSPECTION (EXPIRES 3/15)!
