This is a matching #'s 1972 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 Convertible...This is an "X" Code Car...Out of  1970...1971...1972-It is the only year where it was designated in the VIN # with the letter "X" that it is a W-30 from the factory...The other years it needs to be proven by history and documentation...It is one of 113 manufactured by Oldsmobile in 1972...I have owned  the car since 1995...For the last several years I have been working on a 100 point frame off restoration of the car...Every nut... bolt..and washer on this car has been meticulously replaced to oem specifications...Motor...Transmission...Rear End...Brakes and Suspension...Interior...All replaced and brand new and the list goes on and on...I has been a painstaking labor of love...The only difference I would say is that the paint job on the car done during the restoration far exceeds the quality of the stock paint job from the factory in 1972...The paint is spectacular...The restoration is 95% complete...All that is left is some electrical...Installing the interior and some trim around the car...Every part that is not seen in the pictures I have purchased brand new and is waiting to be installed...Nothing is missing...Heater vents...Ram air set up...Interior pieces...Seat belts...Emblems etc...I have it all...I have lots of pictures and documentation of the restoration...In all the years I have owned the car and during the restoration I have spoken to and or dealt with every 442 parts Manufacturer/ Distributor...Junk yard and 442 W-30 Officianado across the country...My research has led me to believe that this car is 1 of 1...The only Bamboo/Black Oldsmobile 442 W-30 Convertible in 1972...No Oldsmobile 442 W-30 Officianado that I have spoken to in all the years I have owned the car or during the restoration has ever seen one...I unfortunately cannot complete the restoration and need to sell the car...My loss is your gain...The time and material I am into the car for is almost twice what I am asking for it...Look forward to hearing from you...My name is Stephen Habo...
