1984 was the year for some of the most popular movies to debut. There was Footloose, The Breakfast Club, The Terminator, The Karate Kid, and Ghostbusters ended up being the top grossing film of the year. The mid-Eighties were strange times for performance cars. The glory days of the muscle car era were only about 15 years earlier, but when they ended, an entirely new mentality overtook the public consciousness.

          This car features Body-on-frame constructions, control-arm suspension. It has the iconic silver-over-black color scheme, which was essentially a reversal of the first-year model.  Automatic Transmission with a V8 engine. T-Tops were an $825 option, and power moonroof was offered as well. Performance-wise, ever Hurst/Olds packed a four-barrel-fed, 307 cube engine with 180 hp. The Lightening Rod shifter allowed the driver to use a separate shifter for each upshift.

          Only one owner, this car was bought new at a dealership in Jasper, IN in 1984. It was been garage kept since and never smoked in. It is ALL ORIGINAL! No paint work what so ever and still in excellent shape.  This is very rare for this model car. Often the paint was known to chip and peel, so most have had to have a completely new paint job if not partial paint job at least. It features the unique T-Tops and lightning stick shifter. There is plenty of documentation as shown in the picture to back up this car’s authenticity. This is one of the rarest cars you could find at our dealership.
