The Prowler was designed by Chrysler design head Tom Gale, himself a hot rodder who wanted to give the public a new and modern slant on a 1930's hotrod! The idea was to keep it light with an aluminum chassis and mechanical components to which slender A-arms were attached either end for full independent suspension. At the front, the coilovers were mounted inboard as per race cars while the rear had a multi-link arrangement. To distribute weight evenly the gearbox was mounted out back. It all added up to neutral handling and supercar cornering. The Autostick allowed the driver limited manual shifting! There were only 457 built in 1997, its first year of production. The car was continued from 1999 until the year 2002, by which time the 'Plymouth' marque had been discontinued with the 'Chrysler' name having replacing Plymouth for the 2001 and 2002 models. In total some 8,532 Plymouth Prowlers were built and 3,170 Chrysler Prowlers.

The car will be sold with its original owner's manuals and dealer brochures! Obviously always garaged with no signs or history of any accidents or damage! Obviously owned by only very careful and mature driver's since new, meticulously stored with no dings or damage - even the low slung undercarriage and the nose of the car, which are always typically scuffed at least a little bit, are free of any flaws - babied all the way (see photos below)!

The original 'Prowler Black' Clear Coat factory color paint is in absolutely outstanding condition and the matching 'Black' leather bucket seats and black soft top are also in as immaculate condition with virtually no signs of any wear and all the options and gauges are working as they should including the ice-cold A/C. This well maintained and extremely low original 20K mileage engine runs strong, the transmission shifts smoothly through the gears, there are no oil leaks and the temperature always remains cool - drives and looks exactly like a vehicle with such low miles should!

You will look long and hard to find a finer example of this most desirable and increasingly collectible Plymouth Prowler, the last car to wear the 'Plymouth' badge and with this particular example always garaged with no accidents and only owned by very careful and mature non-smoking driver's since new!
