A Fantastic Project For You To Compete As You Like!

Serious parties, please read the description fully.

This is a rare and hard to find 1928 Touring Phaeton body, complete and pretty much rust free –explained in detail below.

It is sitting on a beautiful, original 1932 frame that has been partly boxed and has an X’ing kit added behind the K-member as seen in the pictures.

Most of the fabrication was done by the owner Vic, a long time local hot rodder.  Vic’s work is excellent, there is nothing already done that would need redoing, he is an avid traditionalist.  Additional parts and welding will be needed to complete this project.

My name is AJ Elias, I am assisting Vic in the sale of this project car.

Here are some details:

Body is not a rust bucket, a rare find.  There are pinholes only in the wheel wells at the rearmost corners of the car. The body is actually from Australia, hence the steering opening on the right side floor.  Australian cars had wooden subframes, parts of the wood has been saved.  But a new subframe was constructed using rectangle tubing, installed by Frank Gilner.

All the Ford panels are original, doors, seat frames & springs, the rare step plates, even the hood is included.

The windshield is a bronze ‘28/29 Duvall from Canada fitted to the car very well.  The fit and finish is superb on the window, you will be impressed.  The cowl is tucked under and shaved, ready for sanding and paint.

Frame is smooth and free of rust pitting.  Stock crossmembers are there, and the K is now an X essentially with the kit added.  Boxed where needed, no other mods other the engine mounts.

Two engines are included, both 59A style, both are cores for rebuilding.  The trans is 1936 and is good/used.  Torque tube and driveshaft are done, work by Cook's Machine here in LA.  Rear axle is 1941-48 style, 3:54 gears, and need gaskets only/no rebuilding needed. The spring is from a 1941 station wagon.

Red’s Headers exhaust set up to use the F100 steering listed below.

Early Ford juice brakes are complete, and need servicing before you drive it.  Hard lines and 50% done, only the front hard lines are needed to compete the system.  There is a Wilwood M/C with remote reservoir.  1932 clutch/brakes pedals are used here.

Steering box included is a F100, with wedge adapter.  And new, replacement 1940 Deluxe steering wheel comes with the car.

Front axle is a genuine Mor-Drop 32-36 with a stock wishbone, a rare item these days. Stock 32 spring. Shocks and custom shock mounts used all around.

Genuine Kelsey Hayes bent-spoke wheels.  Fronts are 16/4” wide, rears are actually 16/4.5”.  Many years were spent searching for those wide ones.  If you are in the ‘know’, I don’t have to tell you how rare they are.  New Coker Firestone tires and tubes all around.

Other parts included are: new trim rings and wheel caps, headlight stands, repop A grill shell, and more small parts.

*In addition, a trailer is included to haul your new project home.  It can be seen under the seat springs.  It is ridged (no springs).
