Improved for the 2012 model year, the twin-turbo 3.8 liter V6 puts out 530 hp and 448 kb-ft of torque. With the all wheel drive system and sophisticated powertrain electronics, that's good enough for a top speed of almost 200 mph, a 0-60 time of 3.0 seconds, and the 1/4 mile in 11.2 seconds at 126 mph. And the car stops with the best of them too...60-0 comes smoothly in less than 98 feet.
Improvements were made to the chassis an suspension as well, resulting in a smoother ride AND better handling car than previous versions. This, to a car that already had world-class drivability. Thecarconnection.com said:
"Brilliant handling makes all of that power usable, and thrilling. Along with all-wheel drive, the GT-R also has adjustable suspension settings to relieve its stiff ride when you're just tooling around for admiration. In "R" mode, all those reflexes are sharpened, and it's staggering to wind the GT-R into long sweepers at triple-digit speeds and feel almost complacent as it just hangs on, drama-free."
The GT-R comes only fully loaded. This Black Edition does add several factory upgrades including black leather Recaro seats, red interior trim accents, black headliner and special edition spec V black forged wheels.
Other features of note include an adjustable suspension, power seats, heated front seats, a GPS Navigation system, a BOSE audio system with XM radio and a hard drive, dual-zone climate control and a lot more. The multi-function display also includes a complete digital gauge cluster and provides feedback for steering acceleration, braking, fuel efficiency and more. This GT-R does include the rearview camera and GT-R floormat options.
This 2012 GT-R Black Edition has just 12,424 miles on it. It is a one-owner lifetime Florida car, and is covered by the factory warranty until October 2014 or 36,000 miles.
