Built in the third week of October, 1966 in Kansas City, this 138 code 1967 Chevy Chevelle SS Convertible has just test miles after a complete nut and bolt restoration. Finished in Bolero Red over a Red interior with White top, the Chevrolet is correctly presented per its trim tag. The Chevelle has also survived with its original 325 HP 396 engine, 4-speed transmission and 3.73 Posi rear end.

The Chevelle has just 50 miles since a complete frame off rotisserie restoration, where every nut and bolt was handled. After removing the body from the frame, the body was stripped down to bare metal and re-finished in a glowing coat of base/clear Bolero red. The frame was also stripped and finished in correct black. All new bushings were used during reassembly and the body was put back on the frame. The Chevelle has been kitted out with all new trim from front to rear including all of the chrome and stainless. All of the glass has been replaced as well, and all of the rubber is new from front to rear. After a thorough examination of all the panels, the car looks to have all of its original sheet metal and floors.

The block for the Chevelle was cast in July, the motor was assembled on September 28th and the entire car itself was built during the 3rd week of October. The motor is an EF Suffix code engine meaning it is a 325 HP engine with manual transmission. The rear end is a 12 bolt posi unit with 3.73 gear that was built in June of 1966. The heads are dated from August 6th and August 9th and the intake was cast on August 2nd. The carburetor is date coded the 3rd week of August and both the alternator and distributor are coded from August 23rd and August 30th. The radiator is the correct small core radiator that would have come with 325 HP Chevelle with a manual transmission without AC. AC cars and automatic transmission cars came with slightly larger unit and the 375 HP motor came with the HD option.
