1963 Galaxie 500XL convertible built as an original ‘Z’ Code 390cid that has been fully restored in the gorgeous Rangoon Red color with the famous, high design, ‘XL’ interior and the contrasting power white top, all work completed in a manner that has ‘great presence’ when viewed along with exceptional mechanicals, the very strong engine with hydraulic lifters has great compression and is coupled to the 3 speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, working excellent air conditioning, very solid frame on underchassis, set for top road performance with the period Torque Thrust 15” wheels and radial tires, the high design dash has all the proper gauges and padding, a Custom Autosound radio/CD is installed, the factory red steering wheel with chrome horn is hard to find so nice, see lots of photos on fraserdante.com,

History: this was initially built by a man who then unfortunately passed away, then bought from the estate and then by a Georgia collector who finished the restoration to an amazing degree, note the factory “1963 FORD REGISTERED OWNER’S MANUAL” (LINK), the engine was fitted with ‘406’ exhaust headers connected to an aluminized exhaust system, with the Edelbrock aluminum intake and Edelbrock new 4v carberator, this produces about 325 horsepower with great reliability, the 3,00:1 rear end is perfect for this setup, the safety belts are another area that are added for driving, power brakes just checked (LINK),
