1969 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Hardtop Sport Coupe

This car was built August 30, 1968 and shipped to Capital Chevrolet in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was sold to a local gentleman soon thereafter. A short time later, for reasons now unknown, the car was placed into dry, dark storage with approximately 5,000 miles on the odometer, where it remained for nearly 40 years. Approximately 10 years ago this Corvair was taken out of storage and prepared to drive. The fuel system and carburetors were cleaned and rebuilt. A new battery, fan belt and four correct new whitewall tires were installed and brakes were serviced. While the original paint was in good condition, there were some light scratches from the years in storage and the original owner had apparently spilled some brake fluid on the hood, leaving a marred area of the finish. The decision was made to repaint the car in correct, single-stage Garnet Red paint, to match the original. In 2013 a new correct exhaust system, supplied by Clark's Corvair was placed on the car. Other than the above-mentioned items, this car remains completely original from bumper-to-bumper and now shows just 8,689 actual miles on the odometer.

The car has:

The car is in impeccable condition with no rust or rot. No accidents or abuse of any kind. Today it runs like a brand-new car. The original 6 cylinder 110 HP engine runs flawlessly. The Powerglide automatic transmission shifts smoothly. Brakes stop fast and straight. Truly a pleasure to drive.

Just 2,717 Corvair Monza Sport Coupes were produced in the final-model-year of 1969. (This is #341.) If you are looking for one of the finest examples remaining, this is it. Ready to show or go anywhere.
