The seller has owned this excellent fabulous original near mint of a true Hemi for over a decade and has kept it in pristine condition.  The car has a well-documented history and the second owner said it could be the St. Louis Plant Manager’s personal demo because of all the options on the car.  Just about everything that was offered that year.

Tires on the car are correct and also comes with the spare that is correct.  (The wheel that is photographed in the pictures is incorrect but the correct one does come with the car).

 

Delco battery is currently in the car but the correct battery is being provided with the car.

 

It has been repainted once to the original color.

 

It shows 25,670 miles on the odometer and they are believed to be original miles.

The current owner has owned the car for about 10 years plus.

 

The current owner has put on less then 100 miles.

 

No bondo – no body damage – never any rust.

 

Chrome was replated when it was repainted in the original color.

The owner of this car is a very serious HEMI collector and has collected some of the finest Hemi’s that exist and this is certainly the car in his collection that he has always been most proud to own.  Again, we realize that it is very unusual to have a Hemi that is fully loaded with all of the accessories.  This is one Hemi that you can take to the drag strip or just enjoy driving it around town in a very docile manner but hit the accelerator hard and all hell breaks loose.

This is truly a car that you can have your cake and eat it too.  By that we mean that in the day most Hemi’s were stripped down versions so that they could go fast through the quarter mile.  Today no collector would ever consider using a near mint Hemi and running the risk of possibly blowing an engine just to run it through the quarter (yes, we know that there is always an exception to the rule).  Therefore the car that you see before you as the legend goes was ordered out by the manager of the Hemi plant and he wanted just about every accessory you could put on a Hemi car.  To top it off he picked out what we think is just about everybody’s favorite color and matched it with an interior color that sets the car off from most other Hemi’s.  Just check out the power windows and all the other unusual accessories that you practically never see on a Hemi.  It is truly a fabulous Hemi for a serious Hemi collector (by the way the current owner takes his Hemi’s very seriously) or for the person who is only going to have one Hemi and wants to be able to go fast but also have a civilized ride in driving over to the local Saturday night drive in.  To make an analogy this car is kind of AC/DC, it can go fast like any other Hemi of its day down the track but yet is a very docile drive through the city.  MissChiTown just loves the appointments and the factory interior and we realize that it is very seldom that a very rare Super Bee comes up for sale.   You can bid with confidence and don’t forget to check out our listing of the 1969 Camaro SS L78 375 hp.
