We are a motorcycle dealer in Texas and we trade for all types of vehicles. We traded for this 32 Ford roadster recently. It was built locally by Ricks Memory Lane and completed last September. We have a notebook with the pictures that were taken as it went together. It is titled in Texas as a 32 Ford and as most older vehicles the original title was lost long ago. The current title is Bonded for two more years and then it goes away. The frame is a 32 Ford that has been boxed and molded. The body is glass with a steel reinforced frame, the aluminum windshield frame is a work of art. It has a lokar shifter for the GM 700 R4 overdrive transmission, the motor is a mid 50”s Desoto hemi that still has the stock bore and was rebuilt to factory specifications. The rear end is a ford 9” custom made with a removable polished aluminum rear cover. It houses 3:73 gears and is the perfect combo for cruising. The exhaust is dual mufflers, too quiet for my taste. It would look cool with a set of Zoomies sticking out the side. It has dolphin gages that are all connected except for the speedometer and the fuel gage. I have the drive unit for the speedo, new in the box and I have the sending unit new in the box. The sending unit will require some fab work on the gas tank. The interior is all leather and looks excellent. The wiring is excellent, working lights, turn signals etc. This car has only been driven about 500 miles since the build was done. The seat has not been bolted down, the previous owner (heavy set man) was trying to decide if he wanted his wife (short) to be able to drive it. The steering wheel is a quick release like a race car for security and his big stomach. It does not have any seat belts installed either. I have driven it to a couple of Friday night cruise ins. People really love the look of the car especially the old school hemi V-8, it’s a real crowd pleaser.
It has four wheel disc brakes and coil over rear shocks, the battery is hidden in a carpeted box in the trunk. You can do a few little things to make this your car, the major work is all done. It has not been to any class car shows so it can still be your car.
The overdrive transmission makes it a real joy to drive, it looks as good underneath as it does up top.
