This 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aero Coupe is a beautifully updated car with a slew of tasteful modifications. Purchased from the original owner with just 12k miles, the Monte Carlo has traveled an additional 15,000 since the modifications were performed.

Gone is the original motor and in its place sits a Chevy 350 Ram Jet. These sweet little motors make 350 HP at 5,200 RPM and 400 ft./lbs of torque at 3,500 RPM. With 9.0:1 compression, the motor runs perfect on pump gas and GM's tried and true MEFI 4 controllers runs the engine parameters perfectly. The motor has a roller camshaft, flat top pistons, roller rockers Vortec heads and LT1 injectors for max performance. The distributor is a HEI style with external coil and the intake is the Ramjet multiport aluminum manifold. The transmission is the smooth shifting 200-R4 which provides awesome highway cruising with its overdrive capabilities. The rear end is an upgraded Posi-unit with 3.73 gears which lays down rubber at your command. The motor exhales through a set of trick Hedman Headers and a new stainless gas tank provides the FI motor with a proper feed. 

What is a totally new drivetrain if the handling isn't there? The Monte Carlo has been slightly lowered on brand new QA1 shocks on all 4 corners. Additionally, Hotchkiss sway bars have been added in the front and rear to cut down on body roll in the corners. Bringing the Chevy to a halt now is a sweet set of Baer brakes. Measuring out at 13" in the front and rear, the brakes mean business and combined with the modern wheels and brand new tires, this Chevrolet handles whatever you can throw at it. 

The car has a brand new paint job which included a bare metal refinish. It has an excellent 2 stage shine and the undercarriage and engine compartment are equally clean. The interior has been redone in leather and a high end stereo system including a Kenwood touch screen head unit with XM satellite radio, Ipod control, Garmin nav, Bluetooth, HD radio and a back up camera. The system also features a Bit One Audio Processor, Audison Voce Quattro amplifier, Audison Voce Uno Sub amplifier, Hertz component speakers, Hertz subwoofer and Stinger battery.
