> 1973 Datsun 240Z!!!

   Here is a beautiful 1971 Datsun 240Z that is in excellent  condition and is rust free!!! This Datsun was lovingly restored to its current condition by its previous owner and is in very nice shape. This car is presented as it left the factory in its factory colors along with its original matching numbers engine. The body on this car is absolutely laser straight. This car is in excellent mechanical condition as well featuring a tight suspension, responsive brakes, a very powerful engine with a great sounding exhaust. This is a nice unmolested car that has had subtle upgrades that make this car a great car to drive daily or just to the shows on the weekends. This car has cold A/C, a powerful 6 cylinder engine, a great shifting 4-speed transmission that makes this a car a blast to drive. These cars are great cars to drive and enjoy either daily or just for fun on the weekends. They are beautiful to look at, rare to see, easy and even fun to maintain due to there simplicity. Tens of thousands of dollars have been poured into this car and it shows. The cost of restoration far exceeds the asking price of this Z. This is a beautiful car that will surely make its new owner very happy!!

Exterior: This great looking Datsun 240Z was recently treated to a paint job in its factory shade of Red (color code 110) as you can see from the photos, it looks absolutely gorgeous. The body on the car is laser straight and all of the doors line up excellent. The body is rust free and free of any bubles.  This car was the subject of a repaint and the car recieved all new rubber gaskets, and weather stripping. All of the doors, hood all line up beautifully.  The paint job is a nice driver quality or weekend show quality as opposed to a concour paint job, but again as you can see from the photos of the car it looks excellent. The car was repainted red but a modern base coat clear coat process was applied and will last for many years to come. The chrome on the car is in excellent original condtion.  All of the exterior lights etc are new and in excellent working order.  Overall the exterior of the car is in excellent conditon!

Interior: The interior of this 240z is like new and in excellent condition!!! The interior was reupholstered at the time of restoration (a few years ago) and looks great. It retains a factory fresh appearance retaining its original radio, seats and even retains the classic wood steering wheel. The dash is very simple and straight forward with the Tach and Speedo right in front of the driver and the offset auxilary gauges in the center of the car.  This car retains its original uncracked dash which is SO SO SO difficult to find. All of the knobs and controls are in working order.   The seats are free of rips, stains, tears and are in nice shape.  All of the gauges and lights work. The clockis the only things not currently working but all of the other gauges work great as does the original radio!!! This car has a modern style A/C that blows very cold!!! The shift knob and steering wheel were also refinsihed and look and feel great in your hands. Overall, I would say that the interior is in excellent condition!!!

Engine: The L24 Straight 6 engine is matching numbers and has been given twin weber carbs and a performance exhaust. This car starts right and runs like a top!!! The engine fires right up and blowns no smoke on start up or while driving. The engine is fed by two carbs and the car is actually really really quick. This Z will struggle for traction if you apply full throttle while exiting a corner, making the car a blast to drive.  The straight 6 engine sounds absolutely amazing!!! The carbs were  rebuilt as well as the slave cylinders.   I have had this car on the freeway many times and the car drives great at highway speeds as well as low speeds. The transmission shifts perfectly through all of the gears with ease and the shifter has a very direct feel.  The car rides, steers and stops GREAT! The suspension has been gone through and the bushings replaced with urethane bushings.  The car tracks beautifully down the road and the brakes are strong and stop this car with ease. This really is a great driving Datsun that can be driven daily or just for fun on the weekends. The car is great fun to drive. Everything works, from the windshield wipers, and all of the lights. These are great cars because they are very reliable and any part you might need is readily available. The A/C does work and blow cold!!! The Z has only completed about 1700 miles since completion. This car is turn key ready and shouldn't need anything for sometime! This car has had some patches in the floor as many of these cars have and the car is rust free.  This car is ready to enjoy!

At Close of Auction

The successful "winning" bidder must telephone us within 24 hours after the auction has ended to verify purchase and make arrangements to complete the transaction.

Full payment must be received within 7 business days of the end of auction. Payment must be either by cashiers-check, cash or certified funds. If funds are not received, and an alternate arrangement has not been made, the vehicle can and will be made available to other potential buyers on a first-come, first-serve basis. All Arizona Residents or buyers taking delivery in the state of Arizona are subject to all State and Local taxes. All buyers are subject to a non negotiable $199.50 doc fee.
