> 1986 Mercedes 190E 16V Cosworth!!!

   Here is a beautiful 1986 Mercedes 190 16 valve Cosworth that is in great condition and has had thousands spent on maintenance.  This car is a great  example of the iconic 190E 16 valve Cosworth Mercedes. For those of you that are not familiar with these cars this was the competitor to the BMW M3 with many significant upgrades over the standard 190. These cars featured a self leveling rear suspension, limited slip diff, dog leg 5 speed for better use at the track, upgraded suspension and most importantly the lovely Cosworth engine. These cars absolutely dominated the German touring car series and left there mark in the history books. This car is 100% rust free car with rock solid floors, rockers and body work!!! This Mercedes looks beautiful and this is a GREAT driving car. This car has had its engine been regularly maintained and never neglected. Recent service work includes valve adjustment, new Koni adjustable shocks on the front, new engine mounts, new SLS linkage, new springs with a slightly lower stance, new tires (2500 miles on them), alternator and battery, belts, Stainless Steel exhaust header and full exhaust, rebuilt shift linkage and new A/C dryer and expansion valve. This car runs excellent and feels as drum tight as it did the day it left the factory. Truth be told Mercedes does not build them like this anymore. This cars handles beautifully and runs excellent. This car is in excellent running condition and is 100% turn key ready. This is a very smooth running engine with very crisp throttle response. The cars transmission shifts beautifully and the clutch feels great. The steering is nice and tight and the cars brakes work very well. One look under the hood, and you can see that this car has been lovingly cared for and given lots of attention to detail. These cars are great cars to drive and enjoy either daily or just for fun on the weekends. It would also make for a great occasional track car.  They are beautiful to look at and rarely will you see another on the road. This is a beautiful car that will surely make its new owner very happy!

Exterior: This beautiful Mercedes was  repainted and as you can see from the photos, it looks pretty nice. It was painted several years ago and is holding up well for daily driver use. Of course for a car of this age there are stone chips on the car and a little mark here or there. I took  photos of just about everything I could see. All that being said I would say the paint job is a solid 5-10 footer. This car looks to retain all of its original panels. All of the lights and lenses on the car are in excellent condition as well and are the Euro Spec lights. This car is a 100% rust free with solid floors.  The car is sitting on a beautiful set of wheels and really complete the look of this beautiful German Sports car.  Overall the exterior of the car is in very nice condition!

Interior: The interior of this Mercedes is in excellent condition and virtually like new! I can't believe how pristine the interior is on this car. The seats are free of stains, rips and tears. The seat foam is in excellent condition and the seats have great bolsters even in the back seat! The dash is free of cracks and the carpet and door panels are in excellent condition. The lap timer located in the center console is in great condition as well (usually they LCD screens have given out).  Everything on the inside of the car works, from the power seats, all of the gauges, radio etc... The only thing that I am aware of that does not work is the sunroof. Overall, I would say that the interior is in excellent shape!!!  

Engine:  The 2300cc four cylinder engine designed by Cosworth starts up and runs like a top!!! One twist of the key is all it takes to start this car. The engine fires right up and blown no smoke on start up or while driving.  This Mercedes sounds excellent with its full stainless steel exhaust system from header to tail pipe. The engine also has very strong oil pressure. The transmission shifts through all of the gears and the shifter bushings was replaced and feels factory fresh. The shift linkage really has a positive feel to each gear change. The car rides, steers and stops GREAT. The car tracks beautifully down the road and the disc brakes are strong and stop this car with ease.  This really is a great driving Mercedes Cosworth that can be driven daily or just for fun on the weekends. The car is great fun to drive. The tires have recently been replaced and only have about 2500 miles on them.  These are great cars because they are very reliable and any part you might need is readily available. This car however, shouldn't need anything for sometime! This car is absolutely turn key ready to enjoy!
