1966 Plymouth Satellite

The newly restyled 1966 Plymouth Satellite hit the streets with a somewhat milder version of the full-race Hemi option that powered Chrysler's midsize lineup the previous year.  The 425 HP rated Hemi was quite literally a detuned race engine.  The engineers had done their homework on the car, Balancing the Hemi's power with heavy duty suspension, police duty drum brakes and other performance enhancements. Along with its astonishing acceleration, the Satellite was now also capable of more civilized behavior than its earlier version. A contemporary Car and Driver review called the car " the best combination of brute performance and tractable street manners we've ever driven"

Only 314 1966 Plymouth Satellite 2 door hardtops were sold with the A727 Torqueflite automatic transmission.

This Satellite has just gone through a nut and bolt restoration!

The engine is a 1966 but the date code is later than the build date of the car perhaps a replacement engine?

The 426 has been rebuilt by Moffitt and Bratton racing engines, Boise Idaho, using nothing but the best components. Erson cams, diamond pistons, edelbrock, Mancini racing.

The motor is balanced and has been dyno tested. All receipts will go to the new owner!

The original transmission and the 323 sure grip rear end have been completley rebuilt by Final Round Performance of Nampa, Idaho

To date the drive train has less then 100 miles on it!

Outside, the body and light blue metalic paint finish are very impressive! The panels are glass smooth and nicely fitted. The quality bightwork defines the Satellites character.  The chrome manual mirror and the 15 inch magnum 500's with blue line tires finish the cars excellent presentation.

The Satellite's upscale interior is exquisitley detailed and finished. It features the premium embossed bucket seats and optional console, transaudio AM radio and seat belts.

This excellent restoration was completed by award winning Heffner's Classics of Nampa, Idaho.
